Hey Mods,
It's been a long time now, but I notice that Redcafe.net has completely disappeared from Google's search rankings, when it used to be #1. In fact the reason I joined was because redcafe was #1, as I was hoping to get a good discussion with lots of red devils supporters.
What's happening? We're losing all our community ...
 
Maybe because everyone has the site bookmarked rather than having to search through google?
 
I could do some SEO for Redcafe if anybody wants me too.

Would be free of charge as well...

I could easily help redcafe come up in the google rankings if Niall wants me too.
 
It's not an SEO issue - the site is being indexed just fine, although the HTML could be greatly improved but that's an issue with vbulletin more than anything.

Basically Google has blacklisted the site and dropped it way down the results list as I ran some ads a few weeks ago that it didn't like. My own fault, I should have spotted the dodgyness of it.

I've been on to Google about it but the site is very much at their mercy. Nothing I can do if they decide not to restore the site to it's previous page rank, which would really suck :(

Hopefully it's just a question of when, not if, but there's no way of knowing.

As for "losing all our community" - I wouldn't worry about that....

Ah ok.

Similar thing happened to us with one of our sites. We basically did something wrong that we could have prevented and Google rejected us from their search engine completely. We have managed to get it back though but as you said, we are at their mercy.

Really this ehsanul bit is getting real old. If you don't like his threads then steer clear. don't read them damn it. It's not that hard. He's almost always first with the news. No one gives him credit for that.

It's not as simple as that.

When he's spamming the United forum with eye catching thread titles, you can't stop yourself reading them.

And he puts absolutely no effort into any of his threads, first with the news, copy&pasted from tibalfootball. :rolleyes:
 
I honestly think he's one of The Caf's gems, mehro, and if you do a quick check you'll see that. Wasn't a dig at him at all, more like a tribute.
