What's up Ryan? Giggs out of form, still in the team, booed by supporters, linked with Inter Milan. On his day the most thrilling winger in the game, but will his day ever come again, or has it gone forever?...

No, they are cnuts.

as keano would say! if you boo ryan giggs,

STICK IT UP YA BOLLOX

you had better not boo giggs while sitting near me at old trafford or i may get violent!

IMO giggs only has to do one thing to improve his game and thats to release the ball quicker. He does a great job of drawing two players over to him, the problem is he tries to beat both of them instead of maybe beating one then passing the ball, other than that he still takes up some good positions and is still a player that causes the oppostion to focus on him which creates a bit more space for Veron etc.

Anyone booing giggs should be fecking shot.

Giggs is going through his fist bad spell as a Utd player ie ever
If presume that those who booed him didnt cheer him when he scored "that goal".
Knobends should get a ban from OT for booing, theirs a que for tickets, let worthy fans in instead.

Great article. Giggs is the most talented player we ever produced since George Best. He can lose his form, his speed and his confidence, but he can't lose his class, at least not at the age of 29. Hope he takes the recent sticks in a positive way: work even harder than ever and try to prove all the critizers and doubters wrong. As fans, we need to support him and help him overcome this bad period, not moaning about how good this business will be by selling him to Inter. I'm sure every true Reds would deadly want to see the magic from the Welsh Wizard again in United's shirt again.

A lot of sense in the article. Giggs needs a rest and some competition for his position. Nothing more, nothing less. Stick o'Shea or Silvestre out left I say.

Next time someone boos Giggs in front of me I'm going to piss on him. Cnuts.

Never in my life have i heard so much rubbish.

Almost every post on here is laughable.
' You'd better not be sat next to me if you slag off giggs'. FFS, turn it in......

You're the bunch of cnuts to be taken in by all that Giggsy worshipping.

At best a luxury, at worst a liability, Giggs' free role confuses the whole team. He needs to stay wide if he plays and start earning his brass(that i helped pay for).

He should stop concentrating on the crowd unease, and start concentrating on his final ball and control which is awful.

You lot make me sick with your justifications.

feck off ronnie if u were at ot and if u booed a united player during the game i hope someone gives u fecking good hiding and u will deserve it!

we are second in the league
we are in every cup

dickhead go and support west ham then maybe u would have some justifacation for booing someone

this is not giggs worshipping, it is about being loyal and have belief in our own players. We are not expecting an average player to be a world class player. Giggs IS a world class player on his day. The real united fans would be behind him, backing him to find his real form.

On the other hand, screwed up fans like Ronnie should just feck off to support other team since he actually called giggs a "liability".

Good defence of Giggs by Quieroz in his press conference today. No attempt to pretend that giggs is playing well or that there is not a problem - but totally refuted the charge that he is not playing. With intelligent support and coaching I think he will come out of this spell of poor form.

Frustrating as it is to watch you have to respect the years that giggs has put into the team and the knowledge that SAF has of him. While my guts would be to bench him for a few games if he's picked I want to see him succeed - and booing him won't help.

I only ever booed 2 utd. players - Alan Brazil coz. he was shite, and Niel Webb coz he was fat, lazy and didn't give a shit. Would never boo a player like Giggs who has done so much for our club no matter how poorly he is playing.

Hey WUM, stick it up your ass.
Booing of players in any sport is incomprehesable to me. Giggs has been consistant until this season. He hits a bad patch and boo-birds are out and so-called 'fans' want him traded. Bullshit. If he is traded to
any team, he will come back and bite Man United in the ass, I promise. It is amazing how quickly we forget the players accomplishments when they play badly. All of the sudden they should be traded because they are a so called liability.Ronnie obviously does not know of Giggs accomplishments with United, and why he is so valuable to the team and the real United fans.

I would personally like to see giggs stay at the club for life in some other role after his playing days are over.
There has been no better professional or ambassador for the club since perhaps Bobby Charlton, i mean what a player, what a role model for the kids, never had a red card, never involved in any media scandals - a true legend without a doubt. we should all count ourselves lucky to have been fans during such a magical era and to have witnessed such a legend first hand; there may not be another Ryan Giggs for another 20 years or more...

Footballers are generally their own worst critics and i would bet anything that giggs is doing all he can to turn things around - he doesnt need some twat from surrey booing him, he needs our backing and support.

And i really mean it - boo giggs in front of me and you'l be eating a nuckle sandwich later, its a simple as that.

I sympathise with you, but I went to the recent away game at Blackburn (on a xmas visit back home)
and I was shocked and slightly disturbed by the reaction Giggs got from our boys, to be perfectly honest if I had not have been there I would not have believed it- needless to say it was not the best. My resoultion to the problem is look at Becks, he was poor early on, spent time out through injury and then was rested for a while, and now I think Becks is playing his best since the treble. Give Ryan a rest and see what happens and take it from there.

Fact is Giggs is out of form but we need to back him up, he will return to form again

salford red

united fans should support any united player to the death thats we are about

i supported united in the 80s and others will have earlier, we were shite then now we are good and spoiled but always should remember our own

always

As a season ticket holder at OT here is my opinion. No one is booing giggs, sections of the crowd are just cheering when he gets substituted.IMO the problem with Giggs started when SAF started playing him everywhere but the left wing.I admit there as been a couple of away games (Deportivo & Fulham)where this has worked, but generally it hasn't.This has affected his confidence and nowadays Giggs doesn't actually try to beat a defender, he tries to get rid of the ball too quickly (and 9 times out of 10 he gives it away)The other problem, and this is the main gripe with Utd fans who go the games,is that he doesn't appear to be trying. He shits out of 50/50 balls and this is not acceptable. We all know Giggs has got the ability,SAF has got to start playing him on the left wing and tell him to stay there.Lastly he needs some competition for his position.

I don't think playing in other position is the main reason of his dip of form. Firstly he admitted himself that he has played as striker before and he had absolutely no problem to play in that position. Secondly playing a few matches in other position will not make him forget all the things as a winger. Such as Scholes who has played so much matches as a forward in these two seasons, but he never has any problem when asked to return to centre midfield.

I mentioned SATs Daily Telegraph article by Paul Hayward their Chief Sports correspondent on another thread ... dont know how to copy it on to here maybe someone more computer literate could do ..i thought and excellent and sympathetic piece that all giggs baiters should read , an all of us who appreciate giggseys conttributions over the years enjoy ........

I'm afraid you're missing the point completely. It's alright to have a go at players, I've done it myself, but it should be done on phone-ins, forums, etc etc NOT during the match.

If you want to win out there you have to give all the support you can during the 90 minutes plus injury time. The crowd is the 12th man, remember. And as I said earlier, you'd better not be sat near me if you're booing Giggs, or for that matter any other United player.

I reckon Gigg's torrid personal life is affecting his performance on the pitch. While I am sure that the following NOTW article exagerrates the rift with Becks I think that knocking up your best mate's fiancee (after your own girlfriend has had a miscarriage) rarely makes for an settled personal life. His recent performances have been distracted - and once you let your form drop even a little it's hard to regain the confidence you need to perform. Doesn't mean he's f'd for good - but it could be a few weeks before he puts all this behind him.

GIGGS BABY FUELS FEUD WITH BECKS

Red Devils fall out over shock pregnancy

DAD-TO-BE Ryan Giggs has been red carded by Man United team-mate David Beckham—for scoring with an old fiancée of one of the England star's closest pals.

Becks was stunned when the wiry winger announced last week that he was going to be a father—and that secret 24-year-old lover Stacey Cooke —pictured here for the first time, clearly showing her bump—was the mum.

And we can reveal that the news also shook Giggsy's family who hadn't even HEARD of Stacey and were expecting the mother to be his long-time love Emma Gardner.

But England skipper Becks (below) was more upset than most. Brunette Stacey is the ex of his close friend and former Man-U youth team player Dave Gardner. And heartbroken Emma is Dave's sister.

Now Becks has stopped socialising with old pal Giggs, 29.

Shunned

The Welshman has also been shunned by other players who got on well with 26-year-old Dave—a popular Old Trafford figure who now runs the Elite Sports agency with Alex Ferguson's son Jason.

"This has caused problems in the dressing-room," a highly-placed source at the club told us.

"Becks and Giggsy used to be near neighbours and socialised. That doesn't happen any more.

"They haven't stopped speaking—after all, they have to talk during games— but they are not the friends they were. More like just work colleagues."

Giggs's timing may be good on the pitch—but it has raised eyebrows in Manchester. Stacey—who split from Dave early last year—is due to give birth to Ryan's baby in May.

Yet only last September Giggs was at a family christening in his home town Cardiff with Emma. A friend told us: "Ryan and Emma seemed very happy at the party.

"When the family were told Ryan was going to be a dad everyone naturally assumed it was Emma who was pregnant. When we found out who the mum was, we all said ‘Stacey who?'"

Dumped Emma—who had a miscarriage with Giggs's baby in 1998 —and her brother Dave are said to be furious at what has happened.

Angry

Dave hero-worshipped Giggs and his agency even organised the star's recent testimonial which netted him more than £1million.

But Giggs has recently suffered a mystifying loss of form.

He was jeered off the pitch by his own fans for the first time during United's midweek Worthington Cup tie with Blackburn Rovers. And he was dropped for yesterday's game at West Brom.

Giggs has even moved golf clubs, possibly to avoid bumping into his angry team-mates.

He used to play at the plush Marriott club in Worsley near Manchester. But recently he joined another local club less than half a mile away.

Giggs has not moved Stacey into his luxury mansion and she is still staying with her parents nearby in Manchester. But a pal of hers says: "She spends a lot of time at Ryan's house."

A friend of the star told us: "There is so much going on with Ryan at the moment in his personal life. The baby stuff has come right out of the blue. It is a complicated situation."
