Agree, at least for my own evaluation. Especially as that was more of a confirmation than something never seen from him before.

It's funny, reading back my own lists, there are a hundred things I'd do differently now.

Not sure if you just want to tease Sjor, but it's simply the oldie tax, I'd say. Many 50s greats will land lower than they likely should (Ocwirk and Nordahl, for example).

It's inevitable, but at the same time the amount of good work in here with match comps and in-depth discussions has still paid off, imo. Including for these rankings.

IIRC the full videos of Nordahl and Ocwirk on relatively recently surfaced. But yes, I do think the pre-60s players are underrated to some extent although that might be a reaction to earlier draft superman reputations for players like Moreno or Meazza (they may not be the best examples but you get the idea).
 
Have to admit i dont know much about many on this list. Also hard to compare inverted wingers like Robben vs traditional 442 wingers like Giggs. Both had peak performances and i would lean towards Giggs due to being a man utd fan, but Robben was just absurdly good at times but so was giggsy. Still a good list.

Yeah. Nordahl looks amazing, much nimbler than you’d expect (or I expected, at least) him to be. Ocwirk looked very good but it’s harder to stand out as a CM over 1 game.

I'm intrigued. So Nordahl isn't a Shearer-esque bruiser of a striker?

It's Ocwirk I'm more interested in, tbh. As he sounds like the stuff of legend and I'm curious to see how that actually pans out, but yeah, need more than a single game for that.
