dont you think that that´s an important part of goalkeeping? to tell the keeper the hes only allowed to use his hands in the box?

I agree, although how this relates to Barthez fumbling his attempt to grab the ball is beyond me. He wasn't sliding out of the area, and to try and defend his mistake by claiming he was, really is the height of self delusion.

Lesson 3b:

To self-assess, compare former achievements with the defence you played behind. (left to right)

Lizarazu, Blanc (31 years), Desailly, Thuram

vs

Sylvestre, Blanc (35), Brown, Neville

'nuff said...

Jens in case you did'nt know Westerveld is'nt Liverpools No.1, he is'nt even our No.2

Lesson 2

Only come out for a cross/long throw if you've got any chance of getting it, otherwise you'll make yourself look like a muppet when the opposition scores.

Tune in tomorrow for lesson three where i'll be teaching you how not to run into your defenders leaving your goal open when trying to get to the ball.

When is the lesson "having 2 keepers is better than one" going to be?---You know the one about having another keeper "masquerade" as a cb? ;)

Thats true, which is one of the reasons why we'll never see him in a Liverpool shirt again

TBH, when I was watching that, I'd also thought he was going to slide out.
