The deal brings in new commercial revenues as well as additional capital investment for a minority ownership stake that will further enable the club to compete on and off the pitch as the club seek promotion next season. The name and logo of Leeds United Football Club will remain unchanged.

Guessing they'll get full control in a year or two but would still be unlikely to be able to change Leeds' name as Hull City couldn't change theirs to Hull Tigers a decade ago.

So City get relegated and become irrelevant due to 115 charges, Haaland completes the full cycle by playing again for a Red Bull team, UAE buys the RB team resulting in massive profits for RB and Leeds become the new City.

City fans would probably try to make them change the name to Blue Bull though

Stuff of nightmares.

Could they be anymore unlikable?

And surely Red Bull could have got a more successful team if they wanted to.

Only a matter of time before they added an English club to their list. Football is becoming like WWE with all these club stables being full of heels.

Well they haven't got them, not yet at least.

Leeds owe quite a lot on transfers. If not for that I'd see them as a good target for investors/takeovers.

They're a reasonably big club and could be relatively cheap due to being in the Championship. "The big 7" would cost a fortune, perhaps prohibitively so. Everton, Villa and West Ham next up, but it still might be more attractive to build Leeds up than take on one of those considering how much each may cost. They've a bigger fanbase/stadium combo than all the other PL clubs. There's potential there.

If Red Bull did buy an English team we also don't know what they'd want. Don't think Leipzig are trying to win at all costs. There's the understanding that they're a bit of a shop-window for players and their drink, and they balance the books well. Any English team they bought could be the same. Might as well go for a cheaper one if that's the aim.
