Recoba-Veron Swap Deal Could Be In The Pipeline

03/05/2003. SoccerAge.com can exclusively reveal that Inter president Massimo Moratti is so keen to get Manchester United midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron on board, that he could sacrifice Alvaro Recoba.

Indeed, talks between the two clubs are supposed to have started some months ago, and now the two parties are ready to resume.

Inter are willing to offer the Uruguayan as well as possibly some cash, in exchange for Veron.

The Nerazzurri would give United a discount on Recoba, if they took over the huge wages of his contract.

The English club would seem inclined to accept an offer as Recoba could prove the ideal foil for Ruud Van Nistelrooy. ]

Any comments assuming there's some truth in the report?

Cant say anything bad about rabitts myself but Recoba didn't look very good last night and certainly performed nowhere near teh way a rabbit should on a big ocassion.

Re Seba: We shouldn't sell him unless we are planning on buying a world class player, and I do mean world class. Ronaldo, Raul, Shevchenko, Ronaldinho, Ballack, Buffon etc.
