Team Tuppet
Tactics:
We are still setup in a 4-3-3 and haven't changed much from the tactic of previous game. Desailly comes into his best role as a destroyer in midfield aiming to take out Bergkamp who is the main creative outlet of Onenil's team. His presence provide more defensive solidity and free Neeskens to play a bit more advanced role. It would be similar to what he played for the 70s Dutch team where he would often take the AMC/Striker position for a roaming Cryuff. He would also be tasked to pressurize Bozsik and try to unsettle him whenever he is on ball. Van Hanagem would take a midfield playmaker role, using his fantastic passing and tenacity to both win ball and distribute it to our forward line.
In attack our focus is still on wings, even more than previous game as that's where I think my team has significant advantage. While Onenil has two brilliant wingbacks, they are facing two of the greatest wingers/dribblers in Dzajic & Matthews supported by two very fine fullbacks in Camacho and Bezsonov. My wingers would make sure that Onenil's wingback won't have an easy time providing attacking width. Dzajic would look both to cut inside and score himself as well as provide service, while Matthews would mostly be a playmaker from right wing. Both fullbacks would look to take turn for attacking and are encouraged to go forward. In striker position while loss of Kocsis is unfortunate, in Suarez we have another goal machine forward who would thrive on the service provided by Hanegem/Dzajic/Matthews/Neeskens. His heading while not as good as Kocsis is still pretty good and he would bury the cut back crosses that Matthews was also an expert in. To see how good Matthews was in providing both low & high crosses and cutbacks please check videos from my post on him from last match - Stan the man
In defense, we shore up the left back position with the greatest Spanish left back Jose Camacho. Losing Vogts on the other end was unfortunate, but having Bezsonov there would provide us an attacking impetus that would be very helpful against Facchetti, who is already battling with Matthews. Bezsonov's pace would also be handy against Facchetti. Bezsonov played with Chivadze for USSR in a long international career and they should have a good chemistry together. In center we have Chivadze in ball playing defender role and Vidic as the stopper. Chivadze would provide an outlet for an early ball from defense while counter attacking. While Vidic would face off against Henke's ariel prowess. Finally as the last line of defense I have one of the greatest goalkeeper of all time in Banks to rely upon.
We'll be playing in a normal defensive line up this time and would continue play as a direct attacking/counter attacking side.

Sadly Bican leaves our side. Larsson enters. I love Larsson myself. Was very dynamic leading the line at Celtic. While Sutton might be different partner to Stoichkov, Larsson showed his adaptability over his career. His peak Celtic form is a superb complement to Bergkamp and Stoichkov’s styles.
Stoichkov and Bergkamp make a very fluid and multi skilled forward partners. Bergkamp will drop a little deeper to instigate while Stoichkov will combo with both Facchetti on the left flank while also interchanging with Bergkamp as needed. Bican is the perfect striker to maximize Bergkamp’s passing skills I listed in the last draft since he is well suited to get on any of Bergkamp’s wide range of passes.
Facchetti and Zanetti are also tactically important. Both are capable of dominating their respective flanks though they will of course receive both offensive and defensive support during different phases. Both Facchetti and Zanetti and capable of providing Bican and Stoichkov all sorts of service as well as working with Bergkamp when Dennis drops in the hole.
Bozsik and Vidal offer a partnership with no real weaknesses. Bozsik was great at positioning and reading the game as well being good at timing his tackles. These qualities and his range of passing are key. Vidal provides a good foil to this skill set with his workrate, familiarity with pressing schemes and overall good teamwork.
The back three sees a few changes. Pique steps in as a modern ball playing defender in the center and Libyan born Gentile adds his hard defending style to Ferrara.
