United have got enough defenders and central midfielders, so it looks as tho we're gonna buy 1 winger and 1 striker...

For wingers its between
Duff, Queresmo and Kewell

For strikers its
Ronaldinho
Defoe
Cisse

I'd prefer Duff and Defoe...
 
To be honest alot of who we buy depends on who heads out. If giggs leaves then i can see us getting duff or kewell, if beckham leaves then quresma will probably take his place.

One thing is for sure im pretty sure we'll be seeing Ronaldinho in a United shirt next season.
 
Assuming West Ham go down then i think DeFoe is a realistic target. West Ham will have to sell to balance the books and I reckon we could pick up DeFoe for about £7 million.
Kewell? Possibly, i think it will depend on who takes over at Leeds. If he does move he won't want to move too far. His missus is on Emmerdale so she won't be up for moving abroad. Before people laugh, never underestimate the power that wives/girlfriends have.
Ronaldinhio - Doubtful although PSG are exactly setting the French league alight.
Queserma (or however you spell it) Wouldn't like to say. Don't really know anything about him.
Duff - Expensive but possible.

DeFoe is our most like acqusition from the names being thrown about at the moment.

I've been thinking we're going to sign a player who will be content with sitting on the bench. Although I'd love to see Ronaldinho at United if we can get him for a cheap price, I think we'll sign a cheaper player with less of a reputation.

And by the way - I feel quite confident Giggs is going nowhere, so don't any of you tell me he'll be the man to make way! ;)

I think we should sell Fortune and get Kewell. We can probably get £5m for Fortune and pay Leeds £10m~£12m for Kewell.
 
There really is no such thing as a realistic target. When it comes down to it, we could buy any player we wanted. Its all conjecture as to whos realistic and who isn't. The real question should be, which players do we need to add to make the puzzle complete. There are only a handful of those imo. Cisse and Ronahldinhio would go at the top of my list.

I think Fortune will walk out for free. His contract ends at the end of this season. If we don't offer him a new, he can move on free.

There are a number of realistic targets, from the point of view that they are quality players that would improve United's attack which is the priority most would agree;
Ronaldinho
Cisse
Duff
Kewell
Quaresma
A lot can happen, so we just have to wait and see what funds are there, what fees are like, will Giggs actually go, players emerging from the youth team, etc.
