Good things Becks or anyone from United is not in that list (hopefully!)

Hope Becks is outside partying with Victoria and Brooklyn when they come a-calling! <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

that's a real expensive wishlist, and they already have a nice negative bankbalance...

Figo, Zidane, Viera, Owen, Sheva, etc. There's a reason Becks and Heskey are not on that list.

"NO DONKEYS OR PONIES PLEASE".

;)

Can we compete with Real? However good our youth program is, or scouting of other's youth, you'll never get a whole team of world class stars - you might get some and that is if you're lucky. Real seem to be buying up the top 10 players in the world. How can we compete against that? By concentrating on stability and tactics, like Bayern? Generating more wealth ourselves through going it alone on tv revenue? Or become a nationalised company like Real? :(

Real doesn't have a cheque blanque. They have some money at the momnet, becasue they sold their Cuidad Sportiv to the Spanish Gov't for $300 million- an incredibly inflated price.

Don't worry, the money will run soon, and Real will find itself in 80- early90's European mediocrity.

Some money? What's a lot of money to you then Daisy?

I feel very reassured now thanks for that.

Well, since they've already spent half of that amount in Figo and Zidane, and still had to clear their massive debt of over $100 million, that doesn't leave much for today's standards, now does it mr.kraut?

They will buy one more player of ZZ/Figo stature, and that's it.

My Daisy, if I hadn't read a report on the BBC claiming that the word kraut wasn't offensive I would have reason to suspect that you're acting in a somewhat racist Beckham 007esque manner. Now you wouldn't be doing that now would you?

As for Real - simple arithmetic leaves them with 50m dollars to spend. Bearing in mind the team thay have already how much more of that do they really need to spend? And even if they do they'll get another handout from the King if they need it.

So much for your mediocre Real "theory".

Let's make a deal. No more daisy, no more kraut ;)

Figo has 2 more years at high level, Zidane another 3 (max), Hierro is out after this season, Roberto Carlos is not very happy with his pay, and wants to cash in Italy. I feel strongly that if they don't win the CL this year, they will not win it again for quite a while.
