Skysports News said on Friday morning that Real were prepared to replace Raul with Owen. Apparently Raul and Florentino Perez had an argument of some sort and Raul is on a 'last warning' The fact that Owen is not likely to move from poo doesn't seem to have been taken into account. However if they do decide to offload Raul, I'd be delighted to see Utd. make a move for him. Real throwing him out would mean they'd probably ask about 20m for him which would be dirt cheap for a player of Raul's calibre and I can't think of anyone more ideal for our current team. The move, according to Skysports would be in January. I haven't heard anything about it since then but I am looking for the full article in the skysports archive.

Never going to happen. Real would be stupid to let Raul go. He's one of the best in the world.

Yes I really DON THINK so ... They might let Morientis go though ... due to the overflow of talents up front currently in Raul, Ronaldo, Figo, Guti, Morientis, and that young sensation in Partilo ...

Rate Morientis high !! ... I think he's a superb scorer but he did have a lot of injury trouble though ...

Agree. Although i rate Raul as one of the best around. He's not as good without Morientes. Look at spain in Euro 2000. Morientes does for Raul as gudjohnsen does for Piggybank. Ruud and Raul look a great combination on paper but given the choice i'd go for Morientes. He's also be about £10million less

I'm sure people would be more than happy to see Raul @ Manchester. The only thing is that I'm sure Raul is delighted to stay out of Manchester except for the CL final. Not a chance that he would consider playing for Man Utd.

So should Real boot him out which at the present moment looks likely who would he consider playing for? If you believe he would not consider Man Utd
you are off your head

I honestly don't think he will. He's more likely to stay in Spain or go to Italy. Some European players still don't rate the Premier league.

^ Can't see him staying in Spain, where would he go? Real would never sell him to Barca, probably the only othe team in Spain who could fund the transfer and pay his wages.
If he leaves (which I strongly doubt), he'll probably favour Italy, although I would love for us to make a move for him.
He could do what Cantona did for us while he was here, probably one of the few players in the world who could successfully fill Eric's shoes.
But I doubt he'll want to come to England, and he'll cost us an absolute fortune. We'd have to sell before thinking of buying, perhaps we can offer them Veron and about £20M, but I don't think Real need another midfielder.

<img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> the thought. Real will never let Gonzalez go.

Bit like Barca would never sell, say Figo to Real. Stranger things have happened

Real Madrid are not Barcelona, you're getting into politics now!
