In an interview with the danish news paper Jyllands-Posten Rasmus made the following comments.

On his time at the club so far:

I have been happy but I also realize our results havent been where they need to be. I am sure we will get the bus rolling when we come back together from the international break.
You have to be dissapointed when you dont win, especially Man United, and we havent won much.

On the chaos currently surrounding the club.

I am happy to be where I am. I dont really have any comments on that. Its just noise. It doesnt really affect me. We dont run around (in the squad) and ask each other about this.

Really happy with Rasmus comments here. He says the right things and refuses to get pulled in to the media cirkus.

Disgraceful scenes
Anyone that talks during international break should be sent to the EA Sports room with Sancho

Must be something in there for us to get outraged about!
I got you.

"Its just noise. It doesn't really affect me."

Outrageous dismissal of the issues surrounding the club. Can see him getting some serious boos next home game. I've already heard of a few fans binning their Rasmus shirts.

He said he was happy.

Why is he happy?

He shouldn't be happy, the training ground is shit, the results have been shit, the football has been shit and he had to watch 2 players nobody at the club wanted to keep combine to score a winning goal last week.

This lad should be walking around permanently angry with a huge chip on his shoulder. It's a disgraceful attitude he has.

Change the thread title so our fans can moan.
‘Unambitious Hojlund says ETH threatens to drop the Dane for Licha Martinez up front in crass show of favouritism.’

I don’t want to get too ahead of myself with him because I’ve been burned before but it’s so hard not to. Especially with the dearth of quality in the rest of the squad.

Hmmm...

I am happy to be where I am” Great, another mercenary who’s just happy to be here for the big fat contract.

Shocking comments.

Absolutely. How can he or anyone be happy at this moment in time. He clearly doesn’t care about the club and should be shipped out in January. It shouldn’t be necessary but just in case, white text.

Seems to be an absolutely top talent and a young lad with his head on his shoulders. To come into a side in such disarray on and off the pitch and show maturity and his talent speaks volumes.

was he wearing a green and gold scarf when he made these comments, the ungrateful berk. he should like i dont know be forced to watch JLinz youtube greatest hits on repeat for 24 hours, and then another 24 hours of Rio ferdinand shopping for trainers, so he imbibes the true culture of our great club.

I remember the interviewer in his first one with MUTV asking him what United fans can expect from him and the first thing he said was "hard work". Says a lot about him.

I doubt the dressing room is as turbulent as is made out with the usual cliches about "losing the dressing room." One disgruntled player (Sancho) and poor results does not immediately equal a squad not playing. I think the evidence of the way we tried in the last game would suggest there isn't any downing of tools, the problem has been a lack of structure to our play and particularly the defensive aspect where we've been getting ripped to shreds. That's where the manager has to work. If we lack character and mental fortitude which we probably do from the way we concede so softly and at regular intervals then I don't think it's to do with lack of effort for the most part (there may be a few exceptions), I think that comes from lack of available personalities. The likes of Varane have not exactly been all they are cracked up to be in that aspect as far as leadership.

He’s class. On the pitch and off. Can see him being a huge player for us for years to come.

Why is it not working for him so far? Although he has 3 in 3 in Europe he failed to score against Copenhagen and hasnt scored a single goal in 6 league apps and 1 league cup app.

According to Gabby Agbonlahor on TalkSport its because he is getting very little service from the wide men which may be true however when he does get service he often seems to scuff the shot or fail to even get a touch on the ball, his off the ball work seems to be really lacking at times as well like against FC Bayern when he was mostly jogging between their back 2 and did very little in the game other than his goal which if I remember correctly was a deflected shot.

His off the ball work is light years ahead of Rashford, tbh, in terms of pressing and runs alike. Also he could have had at least 3 assists in his united career with slightly more accurate shooting or slightly worse opp goalkeeping due to clever touches creating opportunities for Bruno and Eriksen respectively in different games. Again, he would have a couple in the league if Rashford wasn't in his current headspace and had kept the ball in when pulling it back (one was ruled out by about 2cm) - I think another was marginally off-side.. Another effort forced a top-class save from Johnstone. The Sheffield United one was, again, top-class goalkeeping: sides, in particular keeps, genuinely seem to raise their game against us as a relatively 'easy' scalp.

There are 15 different issues with this side, but Hojlund isn't one of them. THe only thing you can throw at him is not being a Haaland level finisher. He obviously has some stuff to work on, but then again, Kane wasn't hitting spectacular numbers until suddenly switching up at 21...

The lad is doing everything he should do...he's just surrounded by ineffective other players. On the left Rashford mostly walks around the pitch, only running for speculative long balls behind the defence...which he then either mis-controls, shoots badly or puts the ball across goal behind the Rasmus, rather than in front of him to maintain momentum.

On the right Anthony will be tracking back and pressing the opposition, but his movement going forward is predictable and the opposition can easily neutralise him. Bruno is trying to make Hollywood passes rather than simple triangles around the edge of the box that Rasmus is trying to get other players involved with.

He looked much more potent with Garnacho on the left making all sorts of runs, Rashford pushed out to the right (not particularly effective but at least it's something unpredictable) and Erikson putting in quality diagonal passes. I want United to develop it's play around him, rather than have him try and adapt to the weakness of players like Rashford and Anthony. At the moment he reminds me most of Mark Hughes, strong, great link up play and great dive and determination. His numbers weren't great at first, because we didn't have the right players around him and I think Rasmus is in the same pickle at the moment.

"According to Gabby Agbonlahor"

That's when you know it's going to be great analysis.
