Rashford Interview

I like Rashford but we have been hearing similar things under previous managers…

Players say nothing: disgrace, what do they have to hide

Players give interview: we’ve heard it all before, who cares!
For me, they can stay quiet after each trashing as long as they keep improving. Unfortunately, the same bunch of players comes out with similar interviews where they promise improvement etc. but actions do not follow.

Good to hear some positivity, hoping Rashford continues his good form.

Fishing for a new contract. Hope the club don't fall for the bait.

The players have consistently said too much, especially on social media when we've been beaten, then the next game put in the same tumescent performance and get beaten.

The talking is done on the pitch, that's the only form of talking us fans want to see, not endless interviews or messages on social media how they'll make things right, and fail to do so.

Players are contractually obliged to give interviews and talk to the media. They can't just refuse to answer questions about performances. If it annoys you, ignore it. It's part and parcel of the game and has been for a while.

You lot do realise that we kind of have to keep some of our players, right?

Our most proven goalscorer who isn't nearly 40 years old probably isn't going to be near the top of the list of players the club can afford to let leave. Considering that if you took his goal/assist contributions out of the equation this season we'd currently have 1 win.

In fact most of the ones who would have been near the top of the get rid list we already did offload or lose in the summer, to the point our squad is now too small for a 60+ game season.

I also don't get how people get wound up by nothing interviews. What exactly do you expect players to say when they are asked questions? I don't see the issue with Rashford's performances this season at all. If he goes back to the sulking and waving his arms about rubbish from last season then different story, but if we got rid of everyone who's attitude was shite last season, we'd have about 2 players left.

100% this. They will react by playing good for 1-2 games and that's about it with them.

Probably didnt need a new thread... not much new in there.

At least people cant say let the football do the talking

Tbh, i basically never read those interviews because it is always the same. Same players saying exact things every time. They just add current manager's name and say same shit over and over. Same as with other quotes; "Mood is great, we are training well, we will do better, bla bla bla"

Fully appreciate that this is part of the parcel. However, a little bit disheartening to hear the same thing for almost 10 seasons without much into these kind of interviews.
