Moyes: Dreadful. 3/10
LVG: first season alright, second second shite. 5/10
Mourinho: Boring to watch, won some trophies which was nice, started a civil war. Whole experience was depressing really. 5/10
Solskjaer: Promising and exciting for a bit, turned to the shittest football we've seen post Fergie after a while. 4/10

The best:
20/21 - Ole (best season)
17/18 - Mourinho

The worst:
13/14 - Moyes
21/22 - Ole and Rangnick (worst season, rock bottom, hell)

The other seasons are just a forgettable blur of mediocre shite so I can't be bother to rank them. I just vaguely remember Juanfield, Martial's debut, Zlatan, Bruno, and those glorious months when Ole was only an interim manager.

Good question:
1. 20/21 - Our best football post Fergie, personal preference but I really enjoyed that season. DDG saves a pen and we get a trophy.

2. 17/18 - De God season but we mostly played well. Bailly - Jones looked immense at the start, so did Lukaku. Signing Sanchez fecked our dynamics up.

3. 16/17 - Good cup run, we played miserably after February though. Pogba's only truly good season for us. Herrera the shining point of that year.

4. 14/15 - The season where we all realised it will take a while for United to be great again. ADM and Falcao such letdowns.

5. 19/20 - Bruno saved it. We were underwhelming bar a three month period where we played well.

6. 18/19 - Miserable bar the three months between December and March. Paris was our highest point after Fergie retired IMO.

7. 15/16 - The most boring season of them all. Schmidfield was shit, Rooney was diabolical, Martial and Rashford were good. Would be lower if Lingard hadn't won it at Wembley.

8. 13/14 - Moyes shitshow.

9. 21/22 - Worst football season for any big club of all time.

1. 17/18
2. 16/17
3. 20/21
4. 14/15
5. 15/16

and the rest. fecking can't be bothered.

Mourinho 16/17 - last time we ever actually won anything. Might have been a bit dry but we won two trophies that year. (Three if you count the Community Shield);
Ole 20/21 - We played some decent-ish football at a time, but bottled a couple of winnable trophies;
-------
Ole 19/20 - Basically the prelude for Ole's peak in 20/21.
Mourinho 17/18 - Finished second I guess, but won nothing and Mourinho went on a wanker rant in the CL loss that should've seen him sacked there and then.
----
> Every other LvG/Mourinho season
-------
Moyes 13/14 - Was just a disaster;
Ole / Rangnick 21/22 - I think it was statistically our worst season ever, right?

Pretty close to a 1-to-1 mapping of our points tallies for the last decade, with a few exceptions - I can see the arguments for ranking 2015/16 and 16/17 higher because those were the only times we won stuff, but the football was absolute garbage. At least we played some good stuff for most of 20/21 and the first half of 17/18.

2018/19 gets bumped up because of Ole's interim spell which, again, was fun to watch. Don't think anyone's going to question last season and the Moyes meltdown clear at the bottom.

I'm shocked so many are rating that 20/21 team. We were comfortably worse than we were post lockdown in 19/20 but scraped a lot of phantom points. We were basically saved by Cavani, Greenwood, and Pogba the entire spring with Martial injured and Rashford useless. Bruno put up nice numbers but was quite terrible in the run in as well. It was the best finish in the league, but we were knocked out of CL in groups.

But in return that half of a season is possibly the best half of a season we've had since Fergie retired! And on the flipside the first half of that season is possibly the worst. I guess this would put the 19/20 season somewhere in the middle overall?

Basically, it's a little unfair to isolate halves like that.

Yeah honestly I was moreso making that point because the OP chose to isolate that season into two teams.

19/20 lockdown team I thought we had the best attack in the league. My favorite team to watch post Fergie until this year.

I don't see the logic in splitting 19/20 between pre and post-lockdown, personally.

We played some lovely football after the resumption, sure, but a) the entire post-lockdown spell was only 9 league games, and b) we were actually only "great" for 6 of them. The spell from Sheffield United to Crystal Palace is the one people remember - we were fairly underwhelming in the first one against Spurs, and fast running out of steam by the last two against West Ham and Leicester.

Say what you want about Jose but the guy is a winner and we did win the EL with him completing a histrocial haul of all europiean trophies. Football is played for trophies not Spurs impressions despite his being dire at times. 6/10

Ole did ok and we played some decent stuff and I would give him and LVG a 5/10.

Moyes was clueless and turning the reigning champions (aldo we knew the team needed improvement) into a bunch of mid table clowns (getting crushed by every decent team in the process) in a space of 6 months really sums him up. I think if he was at least 4th and played some promising stuff at times most of us would have given him the benefit of the doubt for at least another season. 2/10

I really wouldnt give any grades to Ragnick or Giggs.

I think I enjoyed Jose's two seasons the most at the time, felt like we were heading somewhere then it just went to total shit.

Enjoyed some of oles tenure and lvgs, but mostly its all been a big bag of shite hasn't it. Zero title challenges in 10 years.

Highlights are the cup wins of course.

Edit: Says it all that I didn't even remember to mention moyes season, worst of the lot.
