Anyone getting this? Personally I can't wait. :D

I am an avid online racer with the PC version, brilliant game with my G25. I am assuming this console version will be toned down abit but even so if you have an 360 this should be a must own as long as it keeps most of what the PC version has.

Yeah I can't wait to try it mate. My friend reckons the PC version is amazing too.

Don't have a 360 anymore so will probably never try it but if the PC versions are anything to go by then to truly experience this I would assume a wheel is needed. One thing simbin always get right is the AI, they are aggressive without being unfair like GRID where it seems they would just ram you in any position on the track, this game will be great in that aspect but I hear the online mode isn't up to much on this one.

All I can think of is that they've simply recompiled the PC code. Level of simulation? It could be very branchy code, which the PPE in the PS3 and the 3 XB360 cores would choke on. I'm quite sure that they could get 60fps if they recoded it for XB360, but that would be expensive. It doesn't even look that good.

I thought this was simbins first game with their new lizard engine though? Surely if the engine was purposely built for consoles then they should be pulling better than 30 fps, unless they are just making a quick buck with a console release in order to further the pc franchise and pay for the development of the new engine?

Well, it's very odd for a serious racer. I could understand an arcade racer doing this, but not a simulation style racer. Both Forza 2 and GT5:Prologue do 60fps. We'll have to see how GT5 turns out in terms of its collision simulation, because with Prologue it's a bit of a joke in that regard.

For shiz. Ferrari challenge has a great collision model, but suffers this 30fps. Given the size of the crew making the game its slighty justifiable but mmmmmm.

On the race pro thing, they would have changed the physics to cater for the controller boys. Where on PC it's a market where the player are not essentially strapped for cash, the XBOX 360 is bringing great gaming at bargain prices so they don't expect everybody to waste money on the only wheel compatible being the pathetic XBOX wheel.
