Released in a couple of days over Europe.

Made by Codemasters for PC, PS3 and XBox 360.

Looks decent and has had good reviews too.

I'm downloading as we speak.

Anyone played the demo? Only just heard about this after seeing it for download.

Thoughts?

I found the demo horrible, tried each thing once and that was enough, your car handles like bambi on ice. Moronic. Get GT5: Prologue. Or Ridge Racer 7.

I'd be all over GT5 if I had a PS3, but I'm stuck with PC gaming right now and there is a severe lack of decent drivng games apart from GTR2.

I shall have a play and see myself, all the reviews I've read have been very positive so far.

Professional reviewers or actual gamers?

I reckon the pros have been paid off for this game.

Ah :p Bloody PC user. I think you'll be waiting forever for a decent racing game on the PC, Destruction Derby was the last decent one.

Then you haven't played GTR2 then.

And I wasn't always a PC gamer, was a playstation man up until the PS3 come along, and will be again when I get the cash, mainly for the arrival of GT5.

I played the demo for about 20 minutes and deleted it.

Really that bad Weaste?

Or are you comparing it too harshly with GT5, because lets face it, we're talking about the greatest driving game of the lot with that.

It's very arcady at times, but sometimes tries to simulate. The result is something I found uncontrollable, I don't think that it knows what it is supposed to be.

Shame.

I'll have a play with it tommorrow and see if it's any better on PC.

I think that it's a game that some people will like a lot and others will dislike a lot. Depending on whether you can control it or not.

Maybe it just takes a bit of time to get to grips with, probably helps if you have a steering wheel too.

Probably helps if you're dangling upside down swinging around in circles and getting pies thrown in your face too.

It really has the most horrible handling ever. It's like driving about in a hovercraft, with a bunch of fatties in it.

Meh, It was allright, the concept and idea of your own team was brilliant.

The racing was shite

Oh sorry, forget the own team crap, that was all a bit boring after 2 hours, BUT the multiplayer online gaming is just brilliant!

Why did nobody tell me to buy this??

I bought Grid Reloaded (basically all the DLC comes with it) for £18 the other day!!

Started playing it today, it's fecking quality. I'm very fussy and nit picky about games, minor faults usually annoy the hell out of me and bad AI makes me shit needles. So far this game has been very, very user friendly, you can get straight into the action and setting up a career is easy and fun. It is a very well thought out game, considering it is just arcade style racing, the menus and game modes are a text book example of what a fun game should have.

It's not GT5, it's not aiming to be. So far I've found the flashback option makes a huge difference to the game. It's a racing mulligan. Which I have a sneaking suspicion I will start to miss when GT5 finally arrives...
