There’s a storm brewing Spain, he’s being prosecuted by the authorities for spreading films on WhatsApp of an underaged 16 year old having sex with some Madrid youth players. Punishable by 5 years imprisonment. Pretty sick.
 
Apparently they picked a 16 year old during a youth camp, the girl had sex with with one or more of the players and Asencio filmed it and sent the films to an app group. The mother of the girl had found out and reported it to the police, and the police started an investigation and charged him.

As soon as I read about this, my first thought was that nothing would happen, charges dropped, lack of evidence, play on. He’s on the pitch now, high fiving after a tackle. I see him still there by end of season, and the season after.
 
Have we got any Spanish posters with some sauce about what exactly is going on? He was booed like mad by the home fans every time he came near the ball against Osasuna.

It's been known for months, there's been a few articles of it floating about on reddit since it made news in Spain.

This has been widely reported and all over social media, to be fair. Madrid have also received some (limited) flak for continuing to play him despite the ongoing case.
 
You're about 6 months to late with this news. What just happened now was that his appeal was rejected. There are 4 Real Madrid youth players involved.
 
Yeah him being 17/18 and the child being 16? I struggle with supporting that he should be charged as a kiddie fiddler.

It was not him having sex on the video - he and the other accused youth players filmed it (without the consent) and distributed the clip. The lad on the video was 16 and the woman was above 18. So these are child pornography charges, as the lad involved was a minor, and shit is quite serious - even Madrid's fans, who usually fully support their players, are appalled in a large part and booing him. Not that I think Asencio and the other idiots that recorded this video are pedophiles, they most likely thought it's a joke, but they were very stupid to do this and I think there will be some consequences.

Not just a dickhead though. A criminal one. I agree he's not a fredophile but a crime has been committed. Will be interesting to see what the punishment is.
 
Was it Saliba who posted a video of a French team mate having a wank in a room filled with players before? Footballers are odd blokes.

I agree with that. Disgraceful behaviour and he deserves a sentence for it but I don't think this shoud fall under sharing child pornography.

Really? Why? 16 is still High School age.
 
Mental abuse is just as vile as physical abuse.

This can cause mental problems in a young girl.

Horrible stuff.

Should be transferred out of Real Madrid just like we did with our own problems.

Because I don't think he is a pedophile (or more accurately, hebephile) or intended to supply people who are. in most cases, a19 year old isn't fully developed either and can still be an adolescent. It would be very different if he was 5 years older at the time of the sharing.

It's still a serious crime that definitely should be punished if you ask me but it's not pedo-/hebephilia related. And to be honest, I think it would be diluting pedophilia related crimes to categorize this as one.

I don't think it dilutes it. If anything it should reinforce that sharing any material under the age of 18 is a no no. I don't really think the he isn't a paedophile or not argument cuts it as the law is there to safeguard the people within the material as much as it is to prosecute those who have it or distribute it.

I agree that in some cases a 19 year old isn't fully developed, but in that case perhaps the age should be raised to 21 for sharing material rather than disregard a younger age because of it.
