R.I.P. Macho Man Randy Savage

slight hiccup there, now residing in the Entertainment forum where Macho Man would want this thread.

His match against Ricky Steamboat was superb. He even managed to force the Ultimate Warrior into a good match.

when I was young anyone who could imitate his voice was an instant legend.

Oh yeah!

Oh that's sad. I remember one day in class, I decided to answer the register by doing a Macho Man 'oooh yeah' when I was, like, 9 or something. Everyone laughed but the teacher didn't hear, deaf old cow, the moment was gone to repeat it, so it never even got official recognition, bitch.

Another piece of my childhood passes on.

I've been talking like Macho Man since I heard the news in tribute. Might have to stop soon though because a) I'm going out in a bit and b) my throat hurts.

will always remember when he planted those 6 big elbows from the top onto ultimate warrior only for him to kick out. well that, and his ridiculous wedding proposal to elizabeth

was a one of wrestlings defining characters from its golden age - RIP

RIP, in fairness I am surprised he has lasted this long. He was one of the most roided up ones there was.

RIP Macho Man.

One of my WWF heroes from my childhood. I saw Bret Hart's status on Facebook, although he didn't name anybody I just knew somebody had died and I wondered who it was. Now I know.

One of the true WWF legends.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooh Yeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

RIP Macho Man. One of my childhood favourites.

He was one of my heroes during the 6 months of my life that I cared about wrestling.

Was thinking about him the other day when I came across this music (skip to 1:50 if you don't like classical music).

RIP.

Nooooooo my fav wrestler as a kid along with Bret Hart. RIP Macho:(

One of the all time greats. He had the ability to bring the best out of his opponents.

Rest in peace Macho man.

RIP, remember him from my megadrive WWF Royal Rumble.

Yep, thats how I felt when I heard about this. Crazy thing is at 59 years old he actually had a decent innings for a pro wrestler. Its been a brutal, destructive industry for a long while. Hopefully the current generation of wrestlers whoever they are fare better than the ones from my childhood.

A roided up, bearded, barely coherent lunatic, but what an entertainer. RIP Macho Man.
