Can a PS3 have wireless internet connection?

So, how do I do it? Do I need to buy something or is it built in?

Well you need a router or or something if you haven't got one. Then once you've fiddled round with settings to make it work, its easy as anything.

I have a wireless router connected already which my laptop is running on. But what do I do with the PS3 to recognize the network

Sometimes you need to fiddle with settings on the router like DMZ but on the PS3 you just go into network settings and get it to try pick up a wireless signal, Then it guides you through the steps.

Ahh, must be the router settings indeed. Cheers, will look into that. Think you need to open some ports too

do you need to pay a monthly fee or something? i know a friend of mine is paying £10 per month for his x-box online connection

I put "//standard-gateway" in the adress bar of my internet browser. A pop-up appeared which required username and password. I put "admin" as username, and *blank* as password (the usual stuff) but didn't get in

EDIT: Wait nm, realised the blank was there instead of your pass?
