Question to scousers

United looked very well last night, albeit against Derby. Liverpool, not setting the world alight, an injury to Michael Owen I feel would have a devastating effect on your push for the Championship.

Do you think that United can win the PL this season?

I think Ronnie Johnsen may volunteer if he's playing against the scouse ;)

So quite a high possibility of us winning the league then.

No

Cos it would also mean that you have to do really, really well..

and not just against Leicester and Derby...but against teams out of the bottom 4 as well..

Fair point actually. United have not shown anything to suggest that they will improve on their performances against any of the genuine title condenders.

This will need to change, however a good run of results to take United over the Christmas and New Year and I'm pretty sure the table will look brighter from Uniteds point of view in January.

If United do start to close the gap, I'm pretty sure that Pool, Arse, Leeds, etc will start to look seriously over their shoulders.

You didn't answer the question.

Let's phrase it differently - why was only 37,000+ fans sitting in a 44,500 capacity stadium?

Wimbledon were always the least supported Premiership team there ever was.

Considering the identical styles between Liverpool and Wimbledon, perhaps all the 'fans' are staying away 'cos its so boring.

Anyway, despite having played well against Spurs in the second half, we hadn't really put in a really convincing performance against anyone this season. I mean the type of performance that we have become well known for over the past ten seasons or so - you know the ones when we look like the rest of the league hasn't a hope in hell of challenging us? Well albeit against a shite team, we still managed to produce a display which should remind the rest of the league what we are capable of and which should have you all shitting bricks. You see the team has had it's collective memory jolted. I wouldn't bet on seeing too many more performances like those put in during the first three months of the season. The scouse 0-0 against Fulham was a further reminder that the pool are only up there because of our bad form not their good form. Give it two or three months and we'll be back on top. Enjoy it whilst it lasts.
