Speaking of Cisse, did you see he won goal of the year on Fox Futbol Raoul?

They had the year end show today and had lots of top 10's. Turned into a Liverpool love fest but other than that it's worth watching if you haven't seen it (check your local listings ;) ). Just press 'mute' when anyone but Bretos opens their mouth, 'kin idiots.
 
If someone out-bids us for Ciise, then I don't think we'll see too much movement as far as strikers are concerned.

I'm sure we'll sign a midfielder of some real quality.

As for defenders, we desperately need another as cover. Riggot is a name that has been thrown around a lot. I wouldn't be surprised to see him arrive at Melwood.
 
ivan de la pena on a bosman would interest me, though his agent's made noises that he's off to benfica. cisse seems to be a realistic target (dependant on how sulky nick works out), and a centre-back as cover would make sense - riggot's been linked several times, and he looks quite impressive.

my preferred signing for the summer would be to have the fantastic markus babbel back...... :(
 
You already have 5 strikers, where the logic on spending an unprecedented amount of money (for you at least) on yet another striker who you're not even sure you're actually pursuing?

Cuz United is their main obsession. If they win their 2 games against us and end 20 points behind, they'll still call it a successful season. Typical small club-mentality.

I predict that goals will flow like sweet honey against Bolton on NYD. Bolton seem to have reverted to their true place, as Div1 upstarts, rather than the giant killers they were earlier this season.

5-1 to Liverpool.

If your refering to me i said only if Anelka does'nt make his mark (and we decide not to sign him in the summer) in which case we may need to sign another striker
