...alright mods. I'm thinking on buying vBulletin and have NO experience of setting up forums and the like. In fact my main use of a forum has been the caf. Was looking for your opinion...

is vbulletin easy to manage/set-up? as a complete novice would i struggle with the set up? I intend using it for a business use on a small scale but would be interested in what you guys think...

From an admin point of view, in terms of moderating that is, its very easy. However, id suggest you PM Niall directly to find out about setup, upgrades etc

setting up a vB is fairly easy, once youve uploaded all the files and set all the permissions (easy to do), you just go to a certain file, and set everything up in the control panel, it can take a while, but its not that hard, instructions are simpler enough, just depends what type of hacks you want to put on it, which basically comprises of uploading more files and copy and pasting code.

It isn't very difficult to set up but you will need a bit of basic FTP and server administration knowledge.
