Public Enemies

Yeah I dont expect much out of it myself, probably wont even see it in theaters
 
I have heard conflicting reports about this movie. Some people giving it great reviews, others claiming it is a total snoozefest.

I think I'll pass.
 
I always found michael mann's movies to be boring. Heat, miami vice, collateral, they were all terrible! SO for that reason alone, I dont ever intend to watch public ememies. Even the trailer bored me!
 
Thought it was rubbish, I probably enjoyed transformers more and that's saying something. Seemed to be absolutely no story until about an hour in and by then I just didn't give a shit anymore.
 
I went to see this the day it came out (July 1). Was looking forward to this movie the most and really thought it was gonna be the movie of the year. It ended up being a pile of shit and this is from someone that makes an effort to look at positives of movies. Depp was pretty good, bale was good, michael mann (director) was fecking shit. Camera was shaking at times. Don't know why certain scenes were put in the movie (completely irrelevant to the movie). All in all, horrible directing.

I noticed this, some of the scenes outside the banks were particularly poor
 
Michael Mann is aptly named. He doesn't make films for sissy girls and nancy boys.

The only film of his I don't like is Ali and I can't wait to see this.
 
I was hoping Public Enemies could be another Heat, but from what I hear it's a bit shallow and lacks the characterization. I'll probably wait until it's available on DVD and give it a look at.

Believe me, I'm a big Michael Mann fan, but this is a fecking awful film. Worse than Miami Vice by a long shot.

Last good movie Mann made was Collateral. Ali was alright (average).

This was a shit movie but Miami Vice was a hundred times worse. I'd give miami vice a 0/10, and this a 5/10 (only reason I'm giving it a 5 is cause of the acting by Depp).
