Ok for those of you who maybe werent aware, the PSN servers were updated on Sunday night.

However....ever since, i have not been able to get a stable connection to the PSN. I would be on and time out mid game. Its as if my connection is surging and it would happen every game, ive monitored via PC and checked router and alls going well.

Its only happened since they updated.

WEASTE? Anyone? Im gonna kill someone, but only lag and timeout will save them!

Ive since put my PS3 in DMZ mode with my router and assigned it its very own IP address.... still nothing. 3mbps download and 600kbs upload
Does anyone have any ideas?

Is this why I can't seem to connect to anyone on FIFA? Only once every 10 or 15 time do I not get the "Connection ended" message.

I just loaded my PS3 up and wasn't even prompted about an update, my PSN seems fine.

I have to reset my router and modem at the start of each session but it hasn't disconnnected me once after that. My down/upload speeds on the ps3 speed test thing either always fail or are really slow but games are fine.

See there was nothing to install or prompt. It was like a server fix but they would not reveal what for.

Also a lot of users who own a BT hub 2.0 are reporting faults, apparently they operate a G frequency as opposed to the standard N frequency?

PSN reckon it could be this type of router!

There's always problems with a BT Homehub and gaming. It sets your NAT to strict and there's no way to change it, that i can find. Which means connecting to people is a bitch.

This is why I can't connect to friends on FIFA and why only about half of the ranked games I try actually work. Absolute mare to fix, one suggestion is putting it into a DMZ and this is often successful, but I don't have my Homehub password so I am royally screwed.
