PS3 Trophies

Yes mate i definitely am i'm playing Fallout 3 and LBP at the moment and try like feck to get as many trophies as possible. Was gonna play Oblivion after Fallout which i've had for ages but because there's no trophy support don't no if i can be arsed.
 
I collect achievements, but not trophies, as trophies arent really on show, wheras gamerscore is on everybodys gamercard
 
Don't care at all about trophies. Theres loads on my games I've seen the criteria for and thought I could do but just don't see any point.

On the PS3, you get rewarded for games completed by getting a Platinum trophy, which are pretty hard to get.

Whereas on the Xbox, you can still have a high gamerscore, without ever getting full points on a single game.

I just prefer the PS3 system.
 
You just do stuff depending on the game. For example, in Uncharted, you'll get a bronze for simply collecting the first treasure, and a gold for collecting them all. I think it's a silver if you kill five enemies in a row with a single punch after shooting them once in the guts to soften them up a bit. 100 head shots will get you another, another gold for completing the game on the hardest difficulty setting, etc. You only get the platinum if you collect all of the others.
 
I'm currently Lvl 5 189 trophies from about 9 games

got no platignums though and don't think i'd ever get one as i've never been one for multiple playthroughs.

i loved Fallout for example and have every trophy possible from a single playthrough but cant be bothered to do it again (twice) with different karmas just to get the platignum trophy

they can add to the fun of games if creative enough, some of the mirrors edge combos are a real challenge and worth doing (if extremly frustrating) but things like 'play 1 million online games' - no thanks

You dont have to do multiple playthroughs.

You just save before you level up, then raise/lower your karma before you level up.
 
I like the trophies. They ensure that Liverpool fans can win some this year.
 
Just got my second platinum on assasins creed 2, my first being Uncharted: DF. Gonna try getting my Fallout 3 platinum next, and would try getting Uncahrted 2 and Red dead redemption but the online trophies always seem alot harder to get. Anyone here still collecting trophies or xbox achievments?
 
I think they are great and add a lot of life to games. For some reason I much prefer the Xbox system to the Ps3. Something about building points seems way more appealing to me. Im ashamed to admit that I have over 15,000 achievement points.
