Was playing LittleBigPlanet earlier and it was fine, then turned it off for a bit and when I went to load up the game it came up with the PS3 logo and then nothing, didn't load. Tried another game and that didn't load either, even the ones like PAIN already saved on the harddrive don't load.

Tried LBP again and it came up ps3 logo again but this time just took me back to the XMB. It either freezes on a black screen or goes back to the XMB.

Tried loads of times, no joy. Then tried FIFA again, which actually loaded, then so did all the demos I had on there, then tried LBP again but it froze once more. From then on the rest have stopped working again.

To summarize, none of my games are loading anymore, at first I thougt it was just the LittleBigPlanet disc but then because no other games worked I thought it was the PS3. Then everything else started working but LBP didn't so I thought it was the disc again, and now nothing loads.

Not sure what to think. Weaste or anyone?

Yup, I've managed to get it working after 3 tries today and dare'nt turn it back off again incase it doesnt load.

I doubt it, at times you are forced to install new firmware, so I don't know where you read that.

Oh, and please remember that Sony's new user policy says they are not responsible for any system malfunctions caused by mandatory firmware updates, so...download at your own risk. We haven't come across any issues with any firmware in the two years of the system's lifespan, though.

I remember reading an article on it somewhere else, but can't seem to find it.

I've just left it on all day today since the game loaded. Is it maybe something wrong with the HDD then?
