I've recently moved back into my parents house and so now have the playstation in my bedroom whereas before in my old house it was downstairs in my living room plugged straight into my sky router (i think thats what its called). Now with it being in my bedroom i have to play online via wi-fi mode which is alright for going on the ps store but when i come to play a game on fifa say then it lags terribly. So is there any way i can play games on fifa without moving the router or moving my playstation and if so how much would the equipment cost?

How far is your console from your modem?

Because an alternative is to buy a really long ethernet cable, they can be as long as 30m and should cost nothing more than a mere tenner. All you do is plug it from your PS3 down to your modem and you should get a better connection. I've been doing that with my 360 and it works perfectly giving me no lag whatsoever (except in those games which are purposely laggy such as F.E.A.R).

Just make sure you conceal the cable for safety reasons, I just tuck it under my carpet.
