Can someone please explain to me what this is, i've just downloaded Vuze onto my laptop then when i go on my ps3 it comes up with Vuze on there. I think its just a way of streaming videos over the internet if so is Vuze the best thing to use?

I use TVersity and PS3 Media Server (when it's needed). I've never actually tried Vuze, but it looks interesting - it's a bit torrent client that then turns into a DNLA media server for devices such as PS3 and XB360.

Do any of these media servers support NSV streams yet? The only thing they really seem to be missing as yet.

Because Sopcast supports an external media player, you can use VLC to output that to a local mms stream, once you have that, TVersity can pick it up.

Looks good, but doesn't seem to work for me, and seemingly quite a few of the people posting on the forum he links for the .bat file. Any idea what the problem is mate?

I've done everything in the video, but when i go to my PS3, select the TVersity Media Server and then select the URL, it says "corrupted data".

EDIT: You mentioned a local mms stream, should we be using the one he provided (mms://127.0.0.1:1234) or is that just meant as an example?

EDIT 2: Just read an article that said;

"The number one reason people have problems with TVersity is that the codecs installed on their system are not in order. The majority of “Unsupported Format” and “Corrupt Data” errors are the result of missing or invalid codecs.

The first thing to do is to get rid of all the disparate codecs installed on your system. This includes stand-alone Xvid, etc. codecs as well as installs you may not suspect such as Nero Premium and tools like AVI Splitter.

A good test to see if your system is clean is to try and play a Xvid or x264 file from Media Player Classic or VLC and it not playing. If the video renders there’s a codec still installed on your PC and you need to track it down and uninstall it.
"

What's the best way to do this? How do I know which codecs are causing the problem?

I got fed up with TVersity, it used too much resources as well, I now use Orb and the PS3 Media Server.

Orb is so simple to use but its transcoding is not very good for some files.

PS3 Media Server looks complicated but once you get the hang of it, it is by far the best media server for the PS3. It can apparently play DVD ISO files, though have not try it yet.

PS3 Media Server

TVersity for me works fine, better than PS3 Media Server in performance in my experience, it hardly ever has a spastic with 720p files. I said before though that I use PS3MS under certain circumstances.

As for TVersity having resource problems, I have it running on a PC that is almost 5 years old, but an almost 4GHz Pentium 4 Prescott is quite the beast. The only problem I had with it was with an older version that used to get confused with IPv6.
