PS3 Help

Every so often when i am playing Fifa 09 my PS3 (sounds like the fan) makes a really loud constant noise, this does not happen with any other game that i know of.

Anyone else had this issue?

try a different Fifa09 disk

I have the same issue, but happens with every game. Makes no difference to the gameplay or performance of the console...so nothing to worry about.

Probably is the fan, could try cleaning it by holding down the eject button whilst turning on the power from the back of the PS3, but only works on certain models I think?

If the fan goes on high it goes on high, dust or no dust. Is it the fan though? More BD drives in the PS3 were busted over FIFA08 than anything else. Christ knows how they store the data on the disk causing it to constantly be seeking.

My ps3 is the same and has been since i've bought it. About the same for 9/10 people i know. All this rubbish about it being quieter than 360.

It is much quieter than the 360 mate. My PS3 is in a very small corner along with my PC so it gets heated quite quickly, I had the same setup when I had a 360 and it sounded like it was going to take off.

I've had both as well since launch. when my fan is on which is about 90% of the time its barely quieter than my 360.
