***Proof that Ruud is the GREATEST marksman EVER in the Premiership...***

Before I start i'd just like to point out that this doesn't include Eric(the greatest ever player to play in the premiership) since he was more a playmaker...

Don't know if any1 saw it but Andy Gray pulled up these Premier League stats comparing the scoring ratio of all the top strikers...

Owen 1 goal every 2.3 games...
Shearer 1 goal every 1.5 games...
Ruud 1 goal every 1.45 games...


Now Shearer and Ruud are close and of course Shearer has played a lot more games...

However if u compare their stats in the superior Champions League competition... Ruud has scored 18 in 19 games for United and 10 for PSV... while Shearer has never scored form open play... thats right NEVER... and hes played abt 20 games... so he can't be that great if he bottles it in the big games...

Proof that Ruud is the best all-rounder... hes top on talent, technique and temperament...

What a star!!
 
Understand what your saying, he is great. Makes you think how Shearer would have done at Utd?
 
true waz... but if we wud have got shearer we prob wouldn't have got eric... I know who i'd rather have...

henry's stats are similar but he does take a lot of free kicks as well which ruud never gets a sniff at.

Imagine we'd had them both??? If Jack Walker had let him sign for United in 1996 he'd have scored buckets of goals playin with Eric and converting Beckhams crosses. Couldnt believe it when Niall Quinn while working for Sky said Shearer made the right decision!!!! He only missed out on the Champions League, 3 Premierships and the FA Cup and possibly more with him! Suppose we all know Quinn's a prick anyway!
