I was with my 500 post and it is almost took about a year for me to get promoted.
These days we have mods like Sultan and Kristjan for viewing/moderating the noobs and also thanks to our internet gimp, jason who regularly post in the noobs, which IMO, made more easier to spot newbies to get promoted.

Its quite shite posting at the newbies, where the only decent posters are jason,kk,slabber and the mods
