I have just placed an order for a Pro Evo 6 Platinum game and all over sudden it hit me, what if there is a difference between the platinum and non platinum editions? Well then is there a difference between the two?

So it's just a label.Wikipedia said:To become a Platinum release it was required that a game have over 600,000 total worldwide sales after generally one year on the market (PAL region sales in particular; games that sell over 600,000 units in another region alone, such as Japan or the U.S., do not necessarily qualify for a Platinum title).
i think it just means it's been added to a list of other games that have also recieved high ratings from reviews / players. Either that or it has sold alot.
I don't think theres one bit of difference beside maybe the artwork that comes with the game. And even that is only slightly altered, looks like you've fobbed yourself of.
So it's just a label.

^No way. Pro Evo has the superior gameplay. FIFA only outranks Pro in terms of team licencing but it doesn't take a genius to know why. Other than that, the PES series rule
600,000 copies sold is platinum on Playstation. How comes you don't know? *Thinks back to PS1's platinum days*
There is no difference in the actual software. Good selling games usually go 'Platinum,' which means that:
1. It is popular
2. It has sold a lot of copies
3. It will be cheaper once they begin selling it with the platinum packaging.

Because I think once they go Plat, you'll rarely find brand new original copies. I bought PES 6 a couple of months back and chose the original over the platinum just because it adds to my PES collection better (I have all 1-6 now with the original covers). All my others are original so why not. And the original and plat were the same price600,000 copies sold is platinum on Playstation.
I just can't understand why people pay double the price just to get original games over the platinum ones.
That's the mentality I don't get, the obsession over originals. If they're the same price then fair enough, but like I said, people pay double or more just for the non-platinumsBecause I think once they go Plat, you'll rarely find brand new original copies. Platinum almost always means the game will be priced at 19.99 or somewhere around that price. It has absolutely not bearing on the game its just the packaging to tell you the game sold well and the price is reduced. Thats all, so dont worry about any other platinum game you ever buy regardless of the game or company that makes it.
