Bit random but when seeing it mentioned that since Klopp took over Liverpool, United have taken 13 points compared to Liverpool's 12, I thought I'd see what it was like for all teams as for the past few weeks it seemed most teams were dropping points.

Leicester (23 points out of 27), Arsenal (20 points out of 27) and Watford (18 points out of 27) are in fantastic form, Bournemouth have been in good form the past few league games getting results including a win over Chelsea and United.

Those teams aside, the rest have been in pretty bad shape, and with us having our goal scoring problems I also heard an interesting stat that City hadn't scored an away league goal in three months until tonight's game.

Table for first 8 games of the season:

I remember early on in the season teams like West Ham United were doing well along with Leicester and Palace, while Newcastle were floundering without a win in their first 8 games. Leicester and Palace are still doing well (Leicester are unbeaten in 10 and have scored in every single game this season), while West Ham's form has stagnated a bit and Newcastle are doing well, with them only being in the bottom four because of their start to the season.

Us and City have tailed off, while Arsenal are still in strong form.

Our results of late have been bad, but thinking about it, nearly every week there's a number of surprise results. This a sign of the overall strength in teams in the league, or a damning indictment that hardly anyone has consistently been good?

Also, with Arsenal and Leicester, do you think both will be fighting for the title until the end of the season? Will another team be fighting it out with them? Will Leicester fall away or will they be this season's Kane train?

What's Klopp got to do with it? Will the expression, "since the start of the Premier league" be changed in future to "since Jurgen Klopp came to the Premier league"? "Since Jurgen Klopp came to the Premier League John Stones' injury problems have cleared up." "Since Jurgen Klopp came to the Premier League arrests of fans for racist chanting have significantly decreased." "Since Jurgen Klopp came to the Premier league the Meet Single Russian Ladies ads on Redcafe feature prettier Ukranian models."
Anyway, don't think its a damning indictment of a league when there's variation in winning teams. Be good overall (in retrospect) if neither Utd, City, nor Chelsea win it.

all I'm thinking about seeing that table is the name "newcastle united" above ours.

You need to chill the feck out mate!

So... were we unbeaten in 7 before these 2 calamities at Bournemouth & vs. Norwich? Hardly seems possible. Perhaps we will beat Stoke & Chelsea, :wenger:

And apart from Leic, Arse, Spurs - everybody is beating everybody else, except in all the drawn games, obvs.

I Know. I've been like this ever since Jurgen Klopp came to the Premier league.
 Well done, you've won the thread. A trend that's started only after Jurgen Klopp came to the Premier League.

This 'since Klopp came to the premier league' thing, only seems to have become a thing since Klopp came to the premier league.

Coincidence? I think not...
