What established players could make a move to United this summer to back up Becks and Giggs?

If United chose to sign a youth player (18-22), what players are ready to step into the first team as cover for Becks and Giggs?

United have not had solid cover at the wing spot since Jesper in the treble season. Chadwick is a decent player with potential, but if Giggs or Becks went down for 4 games or more, Chadders is not the guy we'd want. Veron can play RW, but is more comfortable in CM roles.

Seba will cover for Becks next week, as would be the case with Scholes if Giggzy was injured.

</strong><hr></blockquote>Well, I just watched PSV v's NEC and Dennis Rommedahl was fantastic on the right for PSV. He's 23, fast, a good crosser and defended well when called upon to do so. I was very impressed. :)

Personally I believe that Chadwick, Fortune and Veron are all good enough calibre cover for any teams wings. We should aim on strenghtening the defence and maybe bring in another attacker, forget the wings.

I agree with this, but i would also like to see Djordic coming into the 1st team , plus Veron can only cover for Becks on the right, on the left he looks lost (see charlton and southampton!!)

Rommedahl is good no doubt abt that ... but for a upcoming young stars like him I don think he'll ever want to come to OT and sit on the bench ... when he can almost play 1st team football somewhere else ... He's young at 23 but I think he's over that "testing" age .. and his position is not one that Man Utd lacking of like CB or fullback ...
Current setup is ok with me ... although I am definitely one that hope to see Djordic given some chances to shine .. .
