Truth like rain don't give a feck who it falls on.
This is something that's annoyed me for a while, bit by bit each time it happens so I'm just wondering if there's a fix for it or whether it's supposed to be happening.

If I write a post in reply to a thread, or I stop and read somebody elses, then I scroll down the page reading the thread, if I get to the bottom, refresh it to see if there are any replies, it refreshes to the last post I looked at (i.e the bottom) but a second later it will whizz halfway up the page to either my last post, or some random post halfway up the page. Then I have to scroll down all the way to the bottom again past everybodies posts I've already read. Is there anything I can do to make it refresh to the point of the page I'm looking at? It's happening every time I refresh.

It's because you clicked the 'go to last post' button when entering the thread, so you're always refreshing the link of that particular post. Just delete the post number from the URL (e.g. #post9127355) and it will always refresh where you started.

Or just click the 'permalink' link of the last post you've read and you'll be taken to that post with any replies added.

I have an issue akin to this, I've tried searching for keywords in a particular thread - in the film review thread to be specific - and when I click on any search listing it takes me to the relevant page but keeps auto-refreshing on a continual basis.

Is this what is happening to other people?

EDIT: Okay, it has the same solution as the first response - not something I've encountered before. Sorry.
