Posters with a Skype status

Is anyone else finding that threads where one of the posts is by someone with a Skype status (usually MJLD, in the Gen) then the thread seems to load fine, but the progress bar in the status bar (in Firefox) is almost full, and the message displayed in the status bar is 'connecting to mystatus.skype.com'.

The annoying thing about this is when you go into such a thread (say by clicking 'view last post') you will be reading it, having scrolled up, and then suddenly when the pages loads (usually after a few seconds) completely it goes back to the last post.

I probably haven't explained it all that well, but hopefully someone else knows what I mean.

Yeah I've been getting that too, was just about to take it out of my profile for the exact same reason before I saw this.

Why would you? I'd just prefer it was sorted so my pages loaded okay and you skype queers have an easy way to contact each other.

Is that so much to ask?

Use Firefox, gimpface, and then adblock "http://mystatus.skype.com/smallicon/*".

Works like a charm.

I've been getting the same problem. Loads the page but not the icon and when the icon loads, it takes me to the post of the poster who had the icon.

As well as that, I've been getting this happen a lot where it just doesn't load the icon at all even when the progress bar has stopped.
