Chris Rock explaining the difference between black people and niggaz:

Chris Rock lamenting the declining state of hip hop:

Ricky Gervais on why evolution is bollocks:

Yeah, obviously, but in the intro he framed the bit as if he'd been convinced that evolution is bollocks and creationism is true.

He's clever like that.

Or more accurately described, it's unbelievable that people find him funny. Each to their own I guess!

This thread's been my introduction to him and my early impression is that he's the sort of dude I might enjoy exchanging political views with over a beer but not so much the sort that I'd part with actual money to see perform.

He had/has a show on BBC, painful watching. Is politically astute, just not funny.

Just a random Richard Pryor clip, any of his stuff is brilliant.

I don't find Stewart Lee amusing in any way. I don't dislike him, and I reckon I could have a good chat with him, but I don't find him funny.

Imo, that's some of the best standup in years.

Richard Pryor - "The best thing about famous is the pussy. Had me some Playboy Bunny pussy one time. Went back to her apartment and this place was baaaaad, I mean, if ain't gettin' no pussy I'ma feck this couch!"

I'm with CD and MR. That's end of the pier stuff.

"there are no Scottish women but there are men in kilts, so that's ok"

Har har.

He's got some interesting ideas and I like the way his routine is structured but the one-liners peppered throughout are so lame and unfunny it all gets a bit painful to watch.

I don't think anything he's ever done has made me laugh or even smile. I've never understood why critics love him so much.
