Interesting....According to Planetfootball
Ronnie will be training with the squad pre season & there is speculation (inevitably) about a u turn on his rejection of the 1 yr contract. Ronnie is class & if he can stay fit, another year in defence would be welcome imo ....

blomqvist is training with 'boro though they haven't signed him yet. . .

When Blomquvist was out of contract with us at the start of last season, he still trained with us before joining Everton.

The difference being that Blomquist was not offered a contract. Ronnie was offered one year but it was not enough for him. Though with Blanc signing for another year I don't know that the offer for RJ is still on the table.

I guess it's feasible that Ronny could come back. But he wanted the move didn't he?

Personally, I think it's just a training arrangement.

If no clubs come in for him ... I actually reckon that he could be in a weekly or monthly sign-on basis with Man Utd especially if we failed to sign any top defenders for the start of season ...
