top performance. I expected the players just to go through the motions, but last night was the proof that the players hunger and determination is back.

Without three key players, we ripped a team that hasn't lost at home in Europe all season to pieces.

Superb performances from Nicky, Giggs, Ole and Diego.

Bring on the Scallies, the Arse, or whatever dodgy greek or portuguese team - we're up for this one boys and girls!

This win is a very important one. Firstly it shows that we have the ability to play well and get a result away in Europe, which is just the thing we have done in 1999 but failed to do in last two seasons. Secondly, it also gurantee that we will face a less powerful opponent in the quad final (such as Liverpool ;) ), so that we can have far better chance to get pass it. The Quad final has been our block for so many seasons and I will say that it is a physchological barrier. Once we are in semi-final everything may happen and we may just go all the way.

If we get to the final I really cant see anyone beating us! :D

It was the most Fluid away European Performance I have seen in Years. Brillant Stuff.

I'd love to pull Liverpool in the draw. We owe them big time.

I'd rather have Porto or Panathinaikos, but it would be great to play Liverpool as well.

Agreed about Porto or Pana, but getting revenge against Liverpool would be amazing.

Yes it would. But we're just as likely to get beat by them as beating them, and that would be awful!

That would just suck, and I would prefer to not think about it. Although, to be fair to most of the teams in the competition, I think almost all the matches will be tough from now on, although I must admit, I am very glad United won't have to be playing Real.

I really want us to play the dippers in the quarters. My only reservations are that

1. They have the phsychological advantage of 5 wins in a row.

2. Their team was designed to negate a team that plays the way we do.

3. Fergie never seems to send us out for a draw/sneaky 1 nil win, which is exactly what we would need at Anfield.

4. Our players have seemingly forgotten how to play with real venom against the scallies. (e.g. 3-1 defeat at Anfield this season.)

5. We never score the first goal against them any more.

Still. I want us to draw them and see if we can get some revenge. I fecking hate them. Even more now you'd think they'd already won the whole thing by beating Roma.

Did you hear Thompson cut himself off in mid magnificant last night?

I reckon Boavista couldn't be arsed last night as they were already out..

Therefore you looked a lot better than you actually are..

You'll say differently whilst telling me that Roma are crap.. <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

What I was thinking was, how the feck did you stuggle to get out of that group, after winning a "Plastic Treble", and according to "The Nose" your football is out of this world, funny is that.
