Yes it is true, after years and years of doing feck all this tremendous band are back.

Their third studio album (titled Third ) is due for release on the 14th of April :D

And even better tickets have gone on sale today for a series of 4 gigs (5 now as Brixton Academy has been announced today) at Manchester, London, Edingburgh and Wolverhampton in April also.

Bagged 4 tickets this morning and I'm buzzing now, I've waited over 13 years to see this band live and I can't wait.

although we did get the wonderful Beth Gibbons & Rustin Man album in the meantime

True, and very good it was too, but it wasn't no Portishead that's for sure.

My sister used to listen to them when we were younger. Don't they have an album called dummy that's supposed to be good?

Their second album is one of the greats, trouble is it's so discordant you have to listen to it about 10 times to realise it

Agreed, you only hear people talk about Dummy but the second is equally as great, somewhat darker and infact they work great one after the other.

Just hope they still have it in them to make a worthy third album.
