Poll: Who would you want Fergie to sign?

Nicolas Anelka (Man City) is the obvious choice. He's not cup tied. Though he carries a bit of an attitude, he is a good player with speed. By January he'll be fed up of playing for a club destined for relegation. I do think Fergie needs to get a non cup tied striker.
 
In order of preference;

1. Shevchenko
2. Ronaldinho
3. Cisse
4. Totti
5. Vieri
6. Gudjohnsen
7. Di Canio
8. Jardel

Basically a striker!!!

I'll second that, and for anybody who says we can't sign him because of his past clubs need to wise up. I seem to remember a certain Cantona coming from one of our biggest rivals and succeeding.

once he's played for ALL the unholy trinity, you'd still want him at Carrington? i'd rather toss off a goat than see anelka in the shirt.

I wouldn't want him either but I think there's one point being overlooked: by the time he leaves Man City he will be hated throughout the trinity. Mmmmmm... Has United written all over it ;)

I've said it before and i'll say it again Jermaine Defoe. We don't need a big powerful striker, we need someone with lightening quick pace.
 
Is everyone gone MADDDDDDD!!!!....Theres only ! world class striker thats elegible for the champions league cum january and thats ARIEL ORTEGA.....hes been on loan to fenerbache for the last 6 months and is an unbelievable talent......He'd cost in the region of 15 - 20 mill, but thats nothin' for a player of his calibre <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

well well, we dont need a cup tied striker cause its gonne get get tough in the champions league after january. i think CLAUDIO LOPEZ is perfect, he hasnt played champions league and is world class. or else Robbie Keane ,he is fiery and will not mind sitting on the bench.
 
Cisse, Sheva or Totti...but realistically Jardel for January :cool:
 
what about Machlas from Ajax???

I checked the UEFA site, he has NOT played in any UEFA matches so we could use him in PL and CL, if i'm not mistaken... I've seen him play before... good striker
 
why is everyone saying Mexes??? we dont need another CB!! Ferdinand/O'Shea/Brown have it sewn up for the next 10 years

Ronaldinho, Jardel, Di Canio. We need soemone who has the passion, the heart, the mongrel, to play for united. Not giving up one tackle, trying their best match in match out. Giving their all. No use having a fancy playa who is too scared to make tackles and jsut wants to score pretty goals. He has to have the hunger, the willingness to succeed and win matches for utd.
