member ship office always say that when a match is oversubscribed tickets are allocated on a lottery basis.

never believed that myself, as if I apply for tickets exactly 6 weeks before, I get them.

So of those who applied

1) when did you apply?
2) what method did you use to apply eg internet, snail mail
3) did you get ticket?

in my case

1) applied first day I could
2) used manutd.com online application
3) got 4 tickets

Could be interesting this one.

There is a rumour that you are twice as likely to get match tickets if you apply via manutd.com

for every game i put an online application and a postal application in for the first day they accpect them.

i apply the first day they let you apply via post and online and for european games i can leave it a few days due to less applications...

1)as soon as it opened
2)online
3)yup, 2 in the stretty

Seems to me that for most games tickets can be got if you apply reasonably quickly, but for the big games (arsenal, pool, siddy etc) the volume of applications goes up and the chances of getting chubbed also goes up. I've never gotten a ticket for an arsenal game thru offical channels, nor Middlesbrough for some reason (although got the FA Cup away from their end last season <img src="graemlins/yawn.gif" border="0" alt="[Yawn]" /> )

Another interesting point to add to this.

Last season was a turning point for me from going up a handful of times a season, (10 if im lucky) to going to the whole way and wanting to see home games and i ended up going to 25ish games in the end which i was really happy over.

There was one particular game that i dident get a ticket cos i dident apply as soon as they came online, and this was because the server was so jamed packed with people wanting to apply for the srsenal game it took me (well, someone on my behalf) about 11-12 hours after they went online to get an application in and cos of this i got no tickets and resorted to the black market as such.

So i really do beleive that its first come first serve but i dont think thats the way it should be.

Maybe tickets should goto the members who stay loyal, who goto your derbys/boros/fulhams on a wet wednesday before others. I dont really know or couldnt comment on that.

Tickets should go to members who attend all the games. And the season ticket sketch is just a fecking laugh.

They need to extend the stadium again - 80,000 at least.

they cant thou, if they could they would extend.

looking at the arial photo it looks like a bit of a bastard to extend and lets assume that if they do extend, the south stand will be a carbon copy to the north yeh?

The north stand has one massive arse on her and will stick out quite a bit so they will have just pay out 6-10mill just on knocking down houses and buying the land.

Applied online on the first day 6 weeks 1 day before the game.

Recieved 2 tickets

Plenty of tickets always seem to available for corporate hospitalty though . You'll have to pay between £85-£170 for WBA match .

The matches against Arsenal , Liverpool , Man City ect will set you back between £115-£230.

Nothing wrong with the corporate boxes.!!

Atmosphere sucks but you still get to see your team....

If there were no tickets available for the stands, id have no problems about applying for the function rooms - if I could afford it ofcourse.

well i dont deem that to be too much of a problem cos of the mini station already in the south stand tunnel they would be ok with building a tunnel for the train line.
