What you trying to say we are a one man team?

thanks Mikhail ..had a look but doesnt say how many we have dropped when The Great Man has been missing . Any ideas ???

no not a one man team but he is a vital cog

Keano is clearly a factor in some of our under performance and on Saturday we clearly needed someone with his ability to lift and drive the team on as we visibly sagged after all our efforts to break down Boro's defence failed.

It is not quite as cut and dried as the team relying on Keane though. In answer to your question Keano has been absent for 13 of our 32 dropped points including the recent draw to Derby and loss to Boro, he was present for our battling loss at Newcastle at the start of our slump however and his subsequent ban for his swing at Shearer saw him sit out the losses to Bolton and Liverpool and the draw at Leeds.

We obviously miss Keane's heart when he is absent but it is ultimately a team effort and we have been forced to play and win without Keane in the past with one significant example springing to mind <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

Shouldn't be forgotten tho that we didn't do bad in Portugal without him.

We lost to Liverpool in a similar fashion in January, when Keane has also played. I suspect the absence of Keane was not a very big factor in this lost, as I saw that most of our players (except one or two new imports) have already tried their best to fight. We lost because it was a bad day for us, I think it may just be that simple.

Many thanks Bury Red ..hope you see this . Not as bad as I thought ( how could I forget a certain game ) but would still so infinitively prefer to see him there scowling , cajoling , shouting , gesticulating , glaring and that is just at our men . He epitomises what we supporters feel and want from them all , all the time however impossible that is ....

ps
think I`ll cheer myself up now by re-reading all the papers from the days following Barca
