I always thought he played well for us and hardly let us down. Good runner, scored goals regularly etc....

He's still doing well for Lazio apparently. And no I do not want United to buy him back.

wasn't it a case of him not settling in properly and he asked for a move?
Not sure though

Really? His move was as puzzling as Kan-Kan's was, until recently of course. Mafia and all.

perhaps SAF has a thing about long haried wingers. Get em in and whack em out.

Should someone tell Forlan?

Why?

Because if you went blew hard enough he fell over, he was ok but inconsistent and not good enough for Man Utd.

He was better than Vlad Smicer or D Murphy any day of the week.

Fingers crossed they both sign massive new deals soon. Murphy is quite good, but Smicer makes me laugh!!

80k a week for both now. <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

Why did we let Pob go? Simple... David Beckham plays on the right, so did Pob. WHo would you rather have then?

I think he supposed to play 75% of all our matches to keep his work permit.
But with Becks playing so well on the right it's impossible for him to play that much.
if he failed to get his work permit, United couldn't play him the next season and his value would drop.
So United choose to cash on him as soon as possible.

he was alright in the european champs for the czechs that year but what i think sealed the move was his somewhat flukey dribble (although finished with a nice chip) against the portuguese.

probably left coz he looks like roger daltrey:

HE WAS NOT THAT GOOD BARLEY GOOD ENOUGH FOR OUR RESERVES, SO HE WOULD WALK INTO ALL THE OTHER TEAMS IN EPL, AND SERIA A <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

As someone has said it was more to do with work permits and shit like that, it was either sell him or lose him for nowt because he had'nt played enough games (75% i think) then his permit could'nt be renewed, oh yeah and he never really did it for United unless we were playing against Coventry who he always seemed to score against incase you don't get the joke ;)

Fortune has got the same problem, so will probably be sold in the summer <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

I don't think Pob ever relished the physical side of the english game. Does anyone remember the clip, which Sky used to show all the time, when he ducked out of a tackle with the charging Julian Dicks of West Ham ? You could almost say he ran away (in fact Marsh and Bestie insisted he had).

Fergie's face on the touchline was a picture, and I don't think Pob played many games after that.
