"Both of these whacko's should look into Christianity for a less... aggressive religion. I sure hope these two aren't living anywhere near England; I prefer the Hindu-Muslim conflict to be confined to a place worthy of such barbarism - India" from little englander or re dues

well i found this statement from re dues in one of the thread in genral discussion , this the king thread i think.
i would like to point out to the mods here that he has directed abuse against my homeland INDIA. and i would not stand for this kind of feckin non sense. if some one wanna comment on some individual on here thats ok ,abuse him as much as u want but no one have the right to dis ones country. i could abuse england in more hostlie ways too but i don wanna stoop to his level. livin in other country he doesn have any wright to comment on INDIA and ppl livin here.
i hope u all take some action against him and i don know why other indians havent responded to this post i 4 one take huge offence of comaprin my country to a barabric one.

Redues is wrong anyway..barbeque's are an Austrailan thing...

He probably meant curries...which are dead nice

Puh-lease! My statement was born out of FACT, son. Look to the SHOCKING violence the Hindus of peaceful little India have exacted on the Muslims in Gujurat. If that's not barbaric, then frankly, I'm at a loss to what is. Was it not in the early 90's when Muslims and Hindu's fought bloody battles all across India after a Mosque was destroyed by Hindu zealots, leaving THOUSANDS dead? Was it not in the 80's when Sikhs were massacred after one of them killed the Hindu president? The country has a history of shocking violence between the various religious groups, ESPECIALLY between Muslims and Hindu's (and I haven't even mentioned the savage and cowardly tratement handed out to the tiny minority of Christians living in India!) and I have absolutely no hesitation in labelling it as 'barbarism'. Just calling a spade a spade, and all that..

The gist of that is fair, but exaggerated.

Though you have to apply the same uncompromising glasses to your own country.

And you have to put things in a less insulting way, otherwise you might as well be banned, and it would be no loss.

Dear crappycraperson, maybe you should look at your own posting style as well. It's not nice in any country to judge a person when you don't know someone or haven't read his/her posts carefully. When there is a thread that's not addressed to you and it has only been open for less than 24 hours, don't say anything like 'well this person is not gonna reply bla bla bla' since I'm sleeping at the other end of the world.
Although it's about another subject and less political or moral than the problem you're pointing to, I think it's about the same problem: Having an opinion about something you don't know (almost) nothing about.
Re_Deus doesn't know how it is to be someone from India. Most of the times the media only show the bad things of a country. In our Western eyes India seems to be a barbaric country because of all the things which are happening there. It's not good to call a whole country barbaric because of some facts we see in our (subjective) newsbulletins. But you judged me on one or two posts in which I said I hate Ajaks as well.
Generalisation is the problem here I guess...

(but that's just the opinion of a stupid Dutch girl who thinks she can be forum-friends with people from other countries as well...)

edit: and of course insulting is bad and shouldn't be allowed, but I guess different cultures have different opinions about what's insulting as well...

My own country is just fine, Spinoza. Can't remember the last time thousands, or even DOZENS of people were killed in religious strife. Not in England, at least.

And I'll "put things" however I please. No need to sugarcoat the facts just to appease some deluded person who thinks his country is a bastion of peace and cultural understanding when the facts say otherwise.

every one in INDIA regrets what happened in gujrat or in any another communal riot. every society has some disruptive sections but they vanish with time .
loke at US about 30-40 yrs ago what was the white-black situation there ? or some yrs ago with homosexulas( still some conflict remains)?but they evolved and now with exception of few ppl blacks and whites command equal respect. gays are accepted by large part of society.
our society is goin through a similar transition period.
and a feckin son of abitch like u have no right to comment on hindu muslim issue here . u take care of ur own country.
this hatred among the hindu muslims was sowesd by british in the first place , those damn bastards created enimosity between 2 communities on the first place to follow their divide and rule policy.
india has the 2nd largest no. of muslims in the world , most of them feel secure india.
u make it sound like muslims and hindus in engalnd are far more secure than in india. but i have relatives there and they tell me about sevral hate groups there directed among asian comminities.

P.S: i regret here if i may have hurt any ones sentiments here by respondin to this stupid asshole

what's the difference?
He jugdes your country by some parts of the facts he knows from your country.
You judge me by some posts I posted on here.

It's just a problem about generalization.
You think he says you're barbaric as well. The facts are that there are things happening in India which are barbaric. You can't deny that. But I'm sure there are positive things as well. You're not changing anything by swearing at him coz he has a certain opinion which is generated by the Western media. We only hear the bad things and who wouldn't think India is barbaric when we only see that innocent people are killed and nobody is doing something about it?

The British Empire did their best to unite the Muslims and Hindu's. The Moghal emperor's were brutal in their treament of Hindu's and we liberated India from them. We united the various religious groups to such a degree that the unified forces of Hindu and Muslims tried turning on us! That mutiny was efficiently put down though, so there wasn't much lasting damage.

India is ruled by a right-wing Hindu fundamentalist party, a party consisting of various extremist groups that were involved in the violence against Muslims. It's akin to having the BNP in charge of Britain, with a government composed of neo-Nazis's, the National Front, Combat 18 etc.

Don't compare your nation to ours. We have a harmonious mix of ethnicities and religions that most nations can only dream of. Perhaps you should think about modelling Indian society on our multicultural, tolerent one, and things between Muslims and Hindu's might be better.

i realize situation in my country but its not "barbaric" and if an indian livin here would have said this i may have digested it but someone who doesnt even live here , doesn know the society here, has no right to comment

By that token, you have no right to comment about English football, since you don't live here, do you?
It's a silly arguement. We have televisions here, newspapers and the internet that makes it easy for us to know what's happening in other parts of the world, just as all these mediums enable you to learn what's happening in English/European football.

My statement was within the context of the slanging match between Hindu The King and Muslim Wizard. I merely expressed my gratitude that quarrels between such folk, especially those that turn nasty are mostly confined to India (where else do you hear of Muslims fighting Hindu's?) and that the two religious groups generally get on fine in England. Hopefully India can learn a thing or two about the way we've united the different religious groups in this country, which has kept religious violence away from the UK (except for a little bit in N.Ireland).

u obviously don now about india's history and why would u , u live in a different country
the british created sevral policies to create rift betwenn the 2 , coz they knew if they 2 united their rule would be over and thats what eventually happened . but at the time of independence also british lobbied ideas by some ppl of diff states for hindus and muslims which eventually lead to partition massacare.

i have alredy said that some sections of both hindu and muslim society here are violent and may be these cnuts are part of them. that doesnt mean all hindu and muslim here hate each other. some white ppl still hate blacks that doesnt mean u classify all as racist.
and the fact that u newspaper and media dont tell u about around 25 other states where hindus and muslims live peacefully. they only highlight the bad issues as any media would . they don tell u about the attitude of young generation here toward hindu muslim violence , the generation which will shape this society in future as a peace full one

Nah.

I know you live in London n all, but Burnley is still part of the UK unfortunately.

Plus there are umpteen problems with London in the first place.

I'm not talking about sugar coating facts, I'm talking about being polite. Taking other people's sensitivities into account and so forth. The UK is one of the most casually racist places I've ever seen, by the way.

Maybe I already posted the solution for this problem in this thread:
Think before you post...

Try to think of how other people (from other countries and cultures) would think about your reply.
No need to start a war on the internet as well, right?

Everybody be nice to each other! And now give each other a kiss to make up :p

;)

Oh FFS, grow up and stop bleating. Re deus treads a fine line and has been warned and indeed banned for threads which were read as racist in the past. Religious intolerance exists everywhere and does escalate into barbarism and violence at times, it has since man first learned to articulate and being baffled by many of the things around him chose to invent god as an answer to anything he was too stupid to understand.

Redeus criticised such violence and hatred as shown in the ludicrously protracted argument between the King & wizardkeyaz, I personally gave up reading the shite last week as the bickering was akin to a schoolyard squabble over whose dad was bigger in the eyes of this jaded atheist. Yes he picked a country as an example and unfortunately it was your motherland but why do you have to take it as personal criticism, there's half a billion people plus in India and even a shit stirrer like Re deus realises that the vast majority of that population would rather move on in harmony than remain entrenched along ancient religious and political boundaries, if you don't like his analogies then don't read them but I don't believe what he said in this instance is that bad.

Some mornings it's like a fecking kindergarten in here and the only solution would be banging heads together, it's a football forum and while some people come here exclusively to discuss current events in the dedicated forum, if it is going to upset you so much then stop reading it rather than cryin "mods, nods, ban him".

Oh, and Davo's BBQ joke was the only worthwhile post in here yet you seem to think he doesn't deserve the right to speak in your hallowed post. If it weren't for the irreverance and humour shown by Davo and his ilk, this place wouldn't be worth visiting in the first place.

You are a pathetic individual. Do you have any gist of history dude? The british united India? They salvaged it from the Moghul Empire? You got to be kidding. If they were so interested in liberating the Indians, why did they not hand over control back to India to run it freely? Why did they colonise India? If you care to find out abt British regime in India, you would be appaled to find out the atrocities done by the Crown.

The perfect example to show India is a peaceloving country and united with Muslims and Hindus was the battle against the Brits. A man in loin cloth drove you lot out of India in a peacefull way. Everywhere else, independence is all abt war and blood, not in India.

So your absolute crap assesement is unwarranted and false. Do not make jibes which you cannot substantiate with facts.

Just calling a spade a spade, and all that..

Fact? Do you have the entire fact with you when you speak your garbage out here? Gujarat massacre was the result of extremism between both hindus and Muslims, in Gujarat. If India was barbaric, the entire country would have been in marshall law after that incident. DId that happen? No, bec majority Muslims and Hindus live in peace and harmony all over India. If you do read the post mortem of the entire event, you would see that extremism was not the only factor, the govt's lack of speedy action, the media ruffle, lack of quality control from the law etc.

In a multi religious environment such as India, coupled with a proper infrastructure(developing country), do you think it would be easy to deal with a calamity of such proportions easiy? Heck even established countries are not able to control crowd trouble at football matches!

The Sikhs were never massacred. There were tensions, but no massacres. All but why? Indira ghandi stormed the Golden temple to rid it of terrorists. Of whom were planning to even kill civillians abroad. As a Prime Minister, not the president mind your ignorant and deceitfully wrong statement, supposed to do such things? They killed her due to that.

So Re dues, you better talk sense when it comes to such things. Do not misconstrue facts. If you want to say something sensitive in a forum, do so but get your facts right from top to toe. I would suggest you look at the social problems of the British society before you talk abt others. Dont be a hypocraitic dick!

There were about a dozen posts here which i wanted to reply to once i had reached the middle of the thread, but it turns out that me trying to argue in India's favour, albeit not as vehemently or sporadically as crappy, would have further confused matters. And as it seems, little seems to be going through Little Englander's "brain??" here.
