Barthez 7: hardly need to make a save all thru the match. The goal was not his fault.
Gary 6.5: kept busy to look after Duff, Cole and Yorke.
Brown 7.5: MOM. Lightning fast and very solid
Silverstre 7: kep his standard.
O'Shea 6.5: okay in defence but poor in attack.
Ole 7: One of his less impressive match on the right.
Phil 6.5: average
Scholes 6.5: one of his worst match this season
Giggs 5: abnormal
Forlan 6.5: average
Ruud 5: abnormal

Keano 6: short of match fitness
Becks 7: worked very hard and created some nice passes.
Blanc 6.5

a positive from today. How we missed Veron shows what a vital player he's become for us.

Damn it I can't believe it!

Barthez - 8 Played well, made a real good save in the first half

G.Nev - 8 played exceptionally well at RB and helped keep out Duff, very solid

Wes Brown - 8 MOM Awesome and Solid

Silvestre - 5 Very ordinary and some very shocking passing, esp. near the end...

JOS - 7 Okay, not THAT impressive, but kinda okay

Giggs - 6 Rubbish, WE NEED DUFF, I guess Giggs has finally lost it!

Scholsey - 7 Very good, had too big a burden in the match, until Keano came on, had to do all the work in Midfield

P.Nev - 6 What the hell was he doing? He was awful, pathetic, not into the game at all!

Forlan - 7 I though he played quite well, dissapointed that he came off, caused a few problems

Ole - 7 Like Scholes had too much of a burden, b'cos all the guys played so crap, he was very good wherever he went

RVN - 3 What the ****?? I TOLD U HE WAS CRAP!! All he can do is 2 yard tap-ins, cannot create, no strenght, no vision, one-on-one with keeper, and still can't score, rubbish, just like he was against West Ham, SHOCKING!!!!

Subs:
Becks - 8 nice commitment we need him, he was excellent

Keano - 6 Nice to see Keano back!! I didn't expect him to be great, so let him off...

Blanc - 6 Nothing exciting, just had a few mins...

I think (dare I say it) we missed Veron!!

Whether Veron played or not was not the main point. We should have scored at least 2 or 3 goals had we got a striker who can do a more decent work.

We all know we need a fourth striker - but I hope you won't be too disappointed when we get one who will also miss a few sitters and have an off day because there's never been a striker alive who didn't.

I know its disapointing to lose after our excellent run, but it's hardly slit your wrists time.

I wasn't too chuffed at the final whistle, and it affected my sleep last night thinking of our missed chances, but I think we are a lot better off than at this stage last season.

For the first half hour, we were playing very good football, missed some good chances and conceded just before half time.

i then sat back and waited for the United backlash that a Fergie HT talk would surely bring. Except it didn't.

Ruud should have scored an equaliser. We should have had a point.

Bring on the Boro. They will be very defensive, and we must be patient and NOT GET CAUGHT on the break.

I understand your point. I also said in another thread "inconsisten Ruud" that I agree it is normal for a striker having a bad day. So it's important to have another capable backup on the bench.

Barthez. 8: Good game . Never at fault for goal.

Gary Neville: 7. Good game. Only error was letting york get a far post header that llead to goal.
Wes: 9.5. Would have got 10/10 had it not been for the poor header that lead to the goal.
Mickey: 7. Good. But seemd to give up toward the end.
O'shea.:7. His usual reliable self defensively.

Phiza: 6.5. Was not as effective as he has been of late.

Ole. 7.: Can paly better than this. Wssn't that bad though.
Giggs: 1. How more awfull can he get. We need quality competition for him quick!

ScholeS: 7. Ws busy. but is more effective thse days in the hole.

Forlan. 6.Great effort but Fergie took him off too early.

Ruud: 4. Off day part 5.

Subs:
Keaneo:0. No impact at all. He's retrun was the only bonus.
Becks: 4. Fergie keep him on the bench. Ole is currently much better.

Overall team performance.

6. Average all over the park as a unit. it wasn't out day plsu hearts were just not in it.
