I love doing this so I'll start this thread again.

Barthez: 9 - solid, un-savable goal and what a fantastic save to win us the match!

G Neville: 10 - was nothing short of amazing. He was every-fecking-where and is definately my MOM.
Brown: 9.5 - brilliant. Did Owen play? Where was Baros? I didn't miss Blanc today.
Mickey: 9.5 - see Brown.
O'Shea: 8 - very good defensive but we missed Mickey on the wing.

Ole: 8 - very good start. Dropped the ball a few times tho. Often preferred the difficult option. His goal should have stood.
Scholes: 8.5 - didn't come forward as much as usual but was a true ball winner. Run much as always and is our best player so far this season.
Fortune: 9 - very solid. Had a lot of ball, never dropped it and stopped many Scouse attacks.
Giggs: 7 - poor in the first half but did very well in the second. Ran a lot and created our second goal.

Diego: 9.5 - had very much ball in his preferred role and showed he can match with the best. Oh, and he scored two goals.
Ruud: 6.5 - wasn't very good today. With a better first touch he would've scored 3-0. Had a chance early on but often got the ball in a difficult position.

Subs: Not much to say, didn't play long enough.

Dudek: 10 - No one told me we had signed a new keeper?

little harsh on rudd his ability to hold up the play is incredibly important in uniteds attack. He caused hyppia to concentrate soley on him allowing for others to have a go. For me they were all 9s or 10s except Giggs who was an 8 or so.

I hate to say it but Ole was offside. Class finish and portended much for the game.

You start with 10 out of 10 for them all , then refine upwards by a shade for Barthez , Nevill, Brown , Silvestre, O shea , Scholes , Ole , Diego **, Ruud ,Fortune * an maybe Giggsey ( I wory a bit about him )..(starsfor those two as they have made me eat all my previous criticisms of them )

Then to show we are generous folk with broad liberal views , nothing sectarian about us , an acknowledgement of the opposition too ..

Great save by Fab, awesome defending my Gary (you're 100% forgiven for Siddy) and Silvestre, who's made a real case for keeping him at CB.

Fortune and Scholes were our foot soliders today. They kept things simple and linked play whereas Seba (Flu my arse!) wouldnt have worked in there.

RVN was superb. 90% of first touches were spot on. 10% were highlighted. He worked hard and really mixed it with their defence. You ask Hypia if RVN had a quiet game!

Ole was Ole. Superb. How many forwards can play out of position so well ! Top man.

Diego Forlan ! Oh my ! How much flack has he taken from the Mousers??? Well today was pay back time - B.I.G. T.I.M.E.

Barthez 8.5: World class save from Hamman's long shot which protect our win
Gary 9: absolutely fantastic, a true Red, a true battler and no one can get pass him when he played like that.
Silverstre 8.5: Amazing display in the middle and resist everything thrown on him
Brown 8: Solid, but a bit uneasy to Owen and Baros pace.
O'Shea 7.5: Solid but we miss Micky's abiliy down the left.
Ole 8: Once again excel on the right and his threat was far more than that of Giggs
Scholes 7.5: Not his best game, but still fight hard and did all the dirty work well.
Fortune 7.5: Keep thing simply, excellent work rate.
Giggs 7: Anonymous for a lot of time, but improved near the end.
Ruud 6.5: Not his day.
Forlan 8.5: His work rate and spirit earn him the first goal, and his second goal was also very well executed.
