My first thought on th Veron goal was that it was a good goal, but that it was Beckham who made the pass and should have got the credit.

Then I saw in the replay that Veron started the move.

Superb goal.

Barthez 7 - didn't have much to do
Neville 7 - finding his match fitness
Ferdinand 8 - in control
Blanc 8 - solid
Silvestre 7 - some good running
Butt 7 - strong
Beckham 6.5 - seemed off the boil, his first touch was missing
Veron 9 - loving it out of Keano's shadow, cracking goal, lovely movent and passing, MOM
Giggs 8 - caused them problems
Scholes 8 - settling into the advance role at last
Solskjaer 7 - failry quiet, but effective as always
