Last week, I either ran over a sheep or ran over a
Is anyone watching this? Some absolutely amazing footage.

The Killer whales trying to kill the Grey whale's calf and the Humpback Whales trying to help the Grey Whale blew my mind. Seriously, one of the most beautiful shots captured of the wild I've ever seen.

I was going to watch it, then I saw that Hammond was presenting it, after that I lost interest.

Might have a look on Iplayer if it's on. I'll try and fast forward him.

I caught 10 minutes or so of this earlier and it made me realise why I only watch Attenborough's nature shows.

They made up some bullshit soap opera story about a lioness being outcast from all the prides and sleeping about and then losing her cubs and dramatically finding them days later, when they clearly just had a few hours footage of lion activity. It didn't help that Hammond was narrating.

Watch the whale part.

Wholeheartedly agree.

My main gripe with a lot of science/nature shows these days is that a lot of the focus is on the presenter and their experience.

Now Brian Cox seems like a good bloke and I don't doubt that he has got more people watching physics documentaries but he is the prime example of what I'm talking about. My mum watched Wonders of the Universe without having the slightest clue what he was on about but she was very fond of his lovely smile

I was instantly turned off from this program the moment I saw Hammond and Julia Bradbury on the adverts.

Me and the mrs loved the original series and only stumbled across this by mistake this evening so we're catching up. In the middle of watching the first one on the iPlayer now.

I do miss Sir David though.

Trust me you need to see the whale part!

Everyone just watch the fecking whale part!

Christ. You are not telling me that they are looking to replace Attenbourgh with Hammond?

That would be like replacing SAF with Mick McCarthy!

That put me off too! Can't deal with his lame overly scripted jokes instead of Attenborough. I'm sure it's not like that though, will probably give this a watch.

I've got them on my favourites on iPlayer but haven't watched yet. Is it worth it or just the whale part?

I don't really care for human attributes being given to the animals in the soap opera way mentioned. Is there much of this?

Hammond? Richard Hammond? Where's SDA these days? I miss his blue shirts and beige trousers! Does Hammond wear blue shirts and beige trousers?
