Has anyone else noticed how good this lad is? Been very impressed with what I've seen from him in the CL this year.

Mind you I can't see us signing a left back TBH, but out of curiosity, what's he worth?
 
He was fuchin useless last night, a few fancy tricks but he was marking Owen when he got free to set up the goal.
A schoolboy error but maybe hed improve the same way Micky has.
 
That's harsh Murt, the cross from Riise was excellent, Placente only missed his header by inches and, in spite of Owen's sublime first touch, Placente was again inches from chasing back to block Owen's cross - I agree that he should have dealt with it though, but on the whole his link up play with Ze Roberto up front has looked good in three matches I've watched him - he has pace, and a natural look of confidence on the ball - and last night's mistake aside - I've thought his defensive skills were pretty well up there. Only possible criticism might be his tendency to move out of position and get snared on the counter - but the same could be said of Mickey at times...

Anyway, like I said it's highly unlikely we'll be looking for him with Mickey in his form - just caught the eye is all...
 
Ze Roberto would be great cover for Giggs.

Harsh maybe but he still should have been able to mark a midget for a corner.
His speed was impressive, he had Owen in his pocket in that respect.

placente´s a good player imo, but i wouldn´t bench silvestre for him
