I assume Butt is in charge?

I wonder if the likes of Mitchell and Kehinde will play more games now.

impossible to play without fullbacks.....

I really hope we're actively looking for someone to take over. Doubt Butt can do his job, plus coach the side.

Who is the French-speaking commentator ? I just turned on so I missed that

Is it supposed to be a 343? Very poor display but interesting to see it tried tbf. Need to get some pace and threat up top to give Harrop a fighting chance.

He's not French. He's former United youngster, Bojan Djordjic.

One of the very few non biased, propaganda spouting ex players associated with MUTV.

Scary...didn't know his English was so bad. He sounds french - I am used to him speaking Swedish - he is not good at that either :)

From the outside looking in there appears to be one or two simple changes that would make a lot of difference to this side but since we don't know what happens in training it's hard to say definitively. Could be a long season for these guys.

whats he saying now?

He said as far as development goes that 'tonight was a waste of time.' He said that given the lengthy break that he thought that they'd be up for it but they weren't. Besides that he was just refusing to give the players the easy way out when the interviewer repeatedly tried to give him the excuses for the team's performance and result which is refreshing when you compare it to most post-match interviews but obviously quite similar to how Joyce was.

But was a depleted and disjointed side tbh

It was but, like Butt said, they weren't even getting the basics right, and that just makes their task even harder. They've performed better under Joyce with near identical line ups except Riley was missing today.

Butt strikes me as the type of manager who is never happy when his side loses. Even if they play well. Not that we did.

He's spoken like before if I remember correctly. Wasn't he involved in a shouting match with some of the younger lads during a European games a few years back?

Personally, Butt does not look like he's a quality coach. Better leave the coaching and stick to managing the system

Yeah he was, I remember that  he was definitely justified in his criticism tonight though but the sooner he can get Joyce's replacement in the better.

Really? Was El Fitouri just that far out of position? Looked like he was supposed to be a wing back with Harrop cutting in. Either way, it didn't work.
But who was the 3rd CB? Poole was playing just as wide and high up the pitch, he was also involved in around Sunderland's box more than El Fitouri even. Yes Harrop cuts in a lot but McTominay was playing quite central on the other side too. The full-backs always venture forward quite a bit, especially Riley who was a big miss, because the front 6 are all CMs so they play narrow.

i also thought it was a back 4....
